the game lacks innovation but is made nicely: sfx, textures, movement feels good overall but there are likely some collision issues: you can fall easily in the room w/ a pit

I liked how you could always kinda tell where he was
Anyway, gameplay is a tad lacking, and I don't think LD game should require a controller really.
Level design was surprisingly good, spikes were a bit odd (sometimes hit me, sometimes didn't, not really sure how they 'work', I couldn't always just sprint over them).
