Control:

WASD -move

Tab -skip dialogs(please dont)

↓Download to play↓ (I don't have test enviroment for Mac and Linux let me know if shet goes wrong, update: it did)

Still a looooooot compromises, should've put the production scale way smaller, hand crafted level and dialogs? Never tried such, thought might be easy, NOT EASY!!!

Next time I'l just write some crappy auto-gen code and let it be...

Update:

I am working alone so there're some assets adapted, those of extra detial ones of course, mostly kenny's city packs, some other cc0 model, animals and cars on itch, it'd be nice too link them but I was too frastrated and passed anything not cc0.

I was targeting Compo at the beginning, but modeling everything seems impossiable, the art of overscoping lol.

also Gymnopédies No.1, also cc0 found here https://musopen.org/music/8010-3-gymnopedies/

and great tornado tutorial by this cool guy http://youtube.com/@Le_x_Lu

A fun short game, no idea what the story was about but at least there was one. Since you explicitly noted 3rd party assets, I'll just copy-paste from the rules:
"You’re free to use 3rd party Artwork/Music/Audio assets, or assets you previously created, but we ask that you OPT-OUT of the respected voting categories (Graphics, Audio)"

@6knowledge I see, I checked the rules and you're right, thanks for mentioning!

And yeah, the story is not supper clear... adding extra detail and polishing require me re-record those silly commentings, could be nicer

A super funny comedy, the countdown really works, making me nervous and trying to collect harder. Finished the game with a big smile!(笑死了好明显的中国人口音,爱来自瓷器)

I believe the game doesn't work on linux. The WASD controls were very buggy and just zoomed out and out and I watched the city get raptured from afar slowly as if watching a cutscene.

Wow, did not expect the voice acting and those smooth transitions! Very impressive for a jam game.

I also learned a valuable lesson from the story: if there's a game I really want but can't get, I shouldn't resort to causing natural disasters. Thanks!

@starduster worked great for me on Arch (BTW)

@starduster Thanks for your note! Your description don't sound like how it's suppose to be...:worried: there was a potencial bug causing this, and I did fixed it, in a junky way though, could just be my bad code... sorry for you exprience

@theoratkin Yes definatly valuable lesson :smirk:

@wo-ri-gou-le Yeah, it worked the second time I tried it. This time a tornado spawned and I got to slurp up the city before getting yelled at. I was just thinking it was #linux related.

I thought it was fun. Reminds me of Katamari (in a good way). The song was well placed. I love the juxtaposition of the peaceful piano music with the utter destruction. Also, I played on a mac (x86) and it worked fine, if a little slow to load.

@bryceltaylor Yeeees you know what it is, it exactly a recreation of KatamoriDamacy. And the piano + floating destruction combination, it is by design, thank you for playing! :heart:

Gehe, this was really silly. is the story inspired by real events? :P
Cool aesthetic and good music choice, and the VO was a fun touch!

the story is heartbreaking :D
nice little game in general! could be paced a bit faster and last a bit longer, but it's ok!
congratulations on the submission, good luck in rankings!

🎤 wo_ri_gou_le
Oct 09th · 16:26 UTC

@surfacedfox Thank you for playing! It is a knock off on recent news, Silksong release break the steam sever thing haha.

@kupnu4 Thanks too! yeah the story telling is a lot but not that amount of gameplay, but if I slow the pace it plays way more boring than this, lack of content I guess, but yes at least I finished it sad and happy :sob:

Can confirm the Linux build worked for me on Fedora 42 kernel 6.16.9-200.fc42.x86_64.
Was a fun little game and the graphics were great.

Felt bad for the poor kid loosing his game to a unruly god :smile:

Even though the assets were from other sources I think you did a good job assembling them together for what you needed. I didn't really get the message of the story, but I could see it being interpreted a few different ways. Always appreciate when people put in the work to add voice acting for a jam game, great job on that.

Amazing work! It’s super interesting and has a vert unique way to paraphrase the theme, good job! And welcome to give our game a try! :)
