Remnant Collector by Flaterectomy

[raw]
made by Flaterectomy for Ludum Dare 58 (JAM)

  logo_big.png

You come online with a simple set of instructions: clear the area of enemies, collect their remnants. Easy peasy, you were literally assembled for this.

This is my 10th text adventure Ludum Dare entry after LD47 and LD50 through to LD57, created in Twine, and my 23rd consecutive Ludum Dare entry overall. I nearly failed to make an entry at all after I had zero inspiration/motivation on the first day and a splitting headache ruined day two. This little entry is the result of just starting and not stopping on day three. Typo/grammar reports are always welcome!

:warning: I am hearing there are potentially some security warnings because my website is http instead of https. Apologies for that.

🎮 ➡ PLAY 'Remnant Collector' (WEB)

:joystick: Controls/How To Play

  • :gun: Patrol the area until you locate enemies, then dispatch them.
  • :star: Spend experience in exchange for upgrades at the Upgrade Station (west).
  • Spend remnants in exchange for repairs at the Repair Station (east).
  • :inbox_tray: Submit remnants once you have collected enough at the Remnant Collection Station (south)
  • :map: There is a reference map at the top-right of the screen, compare your exits to the map if you get lost.
  • The order of available exits in each area is clockwise starting at north.
  • :speaker: Access audio volume options in the side-panel menu on the left.

Simple but pretty cool web text-based game
To be fair I've put a paper to write a map of my movement on the map...

Cool game with the time you had! I'm glad there was the map on the corner or I would have been completely lost

It's a cool quest, except that if I were you, I would remove the evaluation criteria for graphics XD

This was a very interesting game. Sometimes I got lost in the corridors of the map, so it was a nice challenge to try and navigate through the map. Is there any difference between the enemies?

As asked, here's one typo I found: The Deployment Area, "loaction" instead of "location"
About my feelings on the game, I think the screenshot will tell much more than any word:

_(well, there's still one that the screenshot can't tell: the 51st is indeed the guy at the end)_
