Apple Toad

Help Apple Toad collect flowers for his herbarium! Unfortunately, he can’t land his balloon unless the platform (log) is filled with life and there’s only one source of life in this dark swamp.
Build a chain of life from sticks and moss-covered stones to help the toad park near the flower.

How to Play

The Goal

Collect flowers by guiding AppleToad to the glowing beacon log. To activate log you should connect it to chain.

The Trick

The beacon log log.png only glows green when connected to the fertile ground! Stack sticks and stones on the garden island to make them turn green, then build a chain of objects back to the beacon log. When it glows, AppleToad connects and starts collecting flowers in some radius around. Place activated beacon log near flower to let Apple Toad collect it. Screenshot_ещфв.png

Controls

Mouse: Drag camera or interact with objects

Beautifully illustrated! The object interaction mechanic is nice too - though I could not quite figure out how to interact with the flowers (if that was a part of the game!).

Took awhile to figure out the mechanic and I still struggled a bit to get the objects into the right place afterwards, but I really like the music and atmosphere of the game! The drawings are really nice and the toad is really cute ^^

good game. A very funny part was when I launched a stump of screen(or nearly off screen) with a rock.it has wonderful graphics.

Really creative! The mechanic wasn't super clear, and the controls are a little unwieldy, but once I figured it out it was straightforward. Beautiful art and music, extremely cohesive.

Interesting puzzle. I found it a little frustrating at times trying to get the twigs and rocks in place, but it was very satisfying when I finally got them all linked together. There's definitely some potential here for a longer game

Very cozy vibe and cute graphics! Interesting mechanic — I managed to get the first flower, but the second one was a bit too hard for me :D

A very cute game! An extremely interesting mechanism, but when I first started playing, the gameplay was not very clear and it was a bit difficult to control the operation.

Cool idea of building such a fragile path with physics engine

I like the art and the mechanic, but colliders are really laggy, so it`s hard to get the second flower.

Also mouse feels like missclicking at the beginning, because of the position of "hand". I would like it to be more obvious with some visual elements like big red dot or smth :)

Anyway, i like the game, thank you!

Very beautiful art style, looks harmonious and cute. Unfortunately, I still couldn't figure out how to make a chain of stones and sticks so that they turn green

Yeah as most already said its really beatiful!
But the machanics remind of trying to move a picture in microsoft office word. Also that when grabbing the item moves is quite annoying. I also didn't get the goal intuitively and in the beginning thought something broke, i had to read xD
Music is also nice and relaxing. great atmosphere. The reseting of the mold also seems to need some work. Maybe give it a delay until the mold disappears or something. The sticky things were also a nice addition to the gameplay :)

Boy, this game was really testing my patience. It took me a while to figure out how the game works (didn't read the description prior to startin ofc). The connecting of the chain takes a bit too long for my taste. Especially if there is a gap near the end, it is really frustrating. The physics are sometimes a bit wonky when I tried to lift a rock that was beneath some logs, they really blew off, destroying my progress. Also once, a stone got stuck inside branch of the "goal log". Besides that, the graphics are beautiful and the music is calming.
One more thing: sometimes it was difficult to pick things up because of the mouse cursor. I didn't really know where to click especially on the small green stones.

Keep up the good work!

Of course, it's a bit strange why the frog flies onto the log and why it glows, but in terms of mechanics, it's quite interesting and I liked it.

Loved the mood and art style of this game! My only suggestion would be to add some physical barrier at the borders of the map as I accidentaly threw some objects outside of the screen and couldn't progress anymore.

Very cute art and music, feels like some fairytale! Though I couldn’t make a chain of stones and sticks I enjoyed trying to make it for some time. Nice entry!
