[raw]
made by Ulziton for Ludum Dare 58 (JAM)

You are the owner of a small workshop in a post-apocalyptic wasteland. You need to collect, repair and trade old artifacts.

In just five days, you must build valuable collection to sell - and buy a birthday gift for your adopted daughter.

It's her first birthday with you, so be a worthy father.

But...if you want...Maybe you should try more than just the good ending...after all, who knows what kind of present your daughter will get?...

Ooo nicely done ! Pink bunny with gears created :D
I really like the aesthetic of the game. Did a nice job of merging 2d stylized elements, and a pretty 3d environment.

The game is pretty well polished(pun intended). I really enjoy these types of games. I guess the only thing that annoyed me was how slow the door to the roof opened and the fact that it would close after you instead of staying open. Other than that I really enjoyed it. The character illstrations also looked amazing. The 3d effects were also a nice touch.

Oh wow! This is SO well-polished! Very nice cel shading graphics, super cool steampunky UI styling. The 2D customers look awesome and blend surprisingly well with the environment!

I love different interaction types with the objects (assembling, polishing, dipping in water), very satisfying. The occasional roof trips add a nice gameplay variety. I only wish the hatch stayed open while I'm on the roof haha. Lots of fun trinkets to repair and collect. You even included an interactive tutorial!

I actually played 2 times, got the bunny and then the dollhouse. :-) This is one of the best games I've played yet on this jam. Fantastic job everyone!

Ok so the models are really cool for the trinkets you get. The lighting is nice, I really feel like im a wasteland. Not a fan of the 2D sprite customers though. And the gameplay doesn't really change, it gets repetive. Also the clipping of the held objects with the environment feels weird. And the adherance to the theme feels a bit random. We get trinkets as a reward and "collect" them, but this isn't really part of the gameplay loop.

Very fun to sit through and lose track of time. Loop is engaging enough to keep me invested for the four days, but you didn't force it to be longer which was also smart. Great work!

Really solid game here! I would play a longer version of this for sure. So impressive the amount of art assets you got done for this jam. The 2D art is really stunning too.

I did have an issue where when I went to the roof for the first time (following the tutorial) it didn't seem to trigger the next step of plugging in the wires. I restarted the game and it worked just fine the second time though. I think the first time it might have broken because I was following another tutorial at the time? Not sure

Either way really wonderful job here!

I went to the roof, but it didn't let me fix "it". The art is stunning both 2D and 3D and the object interaction is fine. However I found the commands too "direct" it felt more like tasks than puzzle, there was no moment when I had to think what to do, I just had to follow the instructions exactly. That is until it told me to go to the roof, which I did, but then the instructions wouldn't update. I tried polishing the solar pannels or bringing the "gun" to it, with no success.

Nice setting! Really coherent vibe, makes me curious about lore and what kind of freaking birds keep 'injuring' my damn power cables! I'm usually less interested when games have distraction mechanics, but I got sucked in and it was fun to roleplay the shop keep side of the video game world. Also love the 'collection' of stuff you barter with, good use of theme!

I wish there was a dialogue for if you don't repair well enough, or maybe the hitbox for returns is too small, but I had some issues with the item receive triggering, so I started 'throwing' the items back at the customers. Then I was just kinda throwing my collection around and cleaning up and then this happened...

From the first few minutes this entry shows a strong sense of personality. It feels like stepping into a miniature world built with care.

The core loop is simple but satisfying. The pacing is tight, which keeps the experience engaging.

Congrats on working on this to the team, I really enjoyed it!

A very enjoyable game. In my playthrough, I came across almost nothing but swords. I think I became the best blacksmith in the hood.
I'm a little tired of fixing cables all the time. This event happens way too often.
I'd like to install something like a generator inside the house and connect cables to it so I don't have to constantly run to the roof. Then one of the clients could offer to barter for a generator upgrade, which would be like a minigame.
Overall, great work.

Super awesome game! I beat the whole game and thoroughly enjoyed it (Got the pink bunny!). This was the perfect length for a game jam game and it had enough item variety that it didn't get repetitive at all. Art style is also super cool and I can feel the effort put into this game. Honestly I wasn't sure what the barter mechanic was for but I did it anyways. Overall great job!

Awesome end result and so much art! You get into a really comfy rhythm with these sorts of job simulators with different tools and it was fun to figure out what to do with each item (I kept dunking dirty shirts in water thinking I needed to clean them too).

I think I got a bit unlucky with my playthrough, had bartering offer just as day seemed to tick over and a few cases I couldn't right click to repair an item for some reason. The UI hitboxes also were a bit off for ultrawide, but I can't really fault the game for dealing with less common displays.

Great job!

The game looks great, and I like the mechanics of it, however I think I have ran into every single bug/rough edges that the game has. You can polish a object without holding the angle grinder which causes it to not make a sound indicating that the object is polished (and I couldn't then return it to the customer after completing all the tasks), you cannot repair when the electricity is out and it took me a while to realize that it was out as the ceiling fans were still spinning, for some reason my pause menu simply wasn't working, none of the buttons actuate. It's still an pretty impressive game especially given the time-frame it was made in.

Pretty sick game, loved the 3d graphics combined with 2d. I may have run into a glitch or maybe I did something wrong, but after a few customers...I couldn't seem to repair anymore and I just got completely stuck. (I couldn't seem to repair the hat...the one with bullets around it, and then after that I couldn't repair a sword/handle again like I did before).

Very cool game! Love the art of the customers and the dialogue sometimes is quite funny. Did admittedly forget almost immediately that F was the button to continue dialogue. Also on the second day I just couldn't seem to repair anything anymore. I could see the broken pieces and tried left clicking but nothing. Regardless cool concept and game!

The graphic is nice, the music is perfect. The way you've coupled the mechanic creates a puzzle dynamic I've never seen before. It feels like a natural evolution of concepts from Braid.Your approach to visual storytelling here is masterful. If you have a moment, I'd be genuinely interested to hear your thoughts on my own project, ICE BOMB RUNNER.

Gotta commend you in implementing an options AND achievements menu haha not many entries have that. Small detail, but I found the environment noise still quite loud even when I lowered the bar.

At first I didn't really know what did what and how to interface with things (even with the tutorial), but once it clicked I had fun (:

Cool game, the work, picture and the customers were quite nice.
- I'd like the stairs to the roof be more visible/highlighted as I had to run around the corners (like an exit sign, or red emergency lighting).
- The polishing could be a little more involved instead of just standing there, like having to take the polishing tool and polish the item areas yourself (even if just like 3 predetermined ones), it got a little boring doing it by just having to wait for a few seconds.

It's a fairly decent game, where you repair items and get other items from customers, sort of like a barter system.
The process of repairing items in the gameplay is somewhat rough; it mostly involves putting dropped buttons back in place, then polishing and washing them. The sound effects for different items are all the same. For example, when repairing buttons on clothes, the sound effect is the same metallic clink as for other items, which feels a bit off (or maybe it's supposed to be like John Wick's bulletproof suit).

Additionally, the delivery judgment box at the end seems to be a bit small. Sometimes you can't complete the delivery even if trying from the left or right of the table. Although the repair time limit isn’t short, it feels unpleasant to waste time like this.

It's a unique game. I liked the visuals and the music, but the interactions were a bit problematic in places.
