You mostly have to remember from the runs before ... (or i am just not a good thief) got caught.
But then, once I figured it out, I got hooked on the game, though I still don't understand where to find the last item that looks like a lamp :)
It took me a few tries to realize that I should pick items based on their drawing rather than just grabbing the ones that look the most expensive xD
I also didn’t quite get the purpose of two items in the first room — the medallion on the floor and the keys behind the banner. Just a distraction? :)
Overall, not bad — thumbs up!
EDIT : Never mind!

for the others: the good items are the one drawn not the shiniest
Really great job!
As a solo programmer myself I know it can be hard to integrate all the cool stuff artists and musicians make, and this entry seems like it doesn't miss anything. The approaching "enemy" near the end is a nice touch, and a very funny twist once you reach the victory screen.
A couple areas of improvement: I think the chest could be made more identifiable. I had found the key first, but I think I wouldn't have understood that it required a key otherwise. It can also be tough to realize that you picked the wrong item since it takes the place of the outline in the inventory, so you can't check that you got it right without putting the item back. Congrats for the release!
Great audio and art work :)
Thank you for your kind words, glad you enjoyed our game !
Very nice music and varied sound effects. Especially when the witch starts "looking around", the footsteps are well done and stressed me :P They also work well together and with the art style
I spent some time getting the right objects (and the right key for the chest). In particular the book: I didn't feel that it matched the outlines, so I though there was one I had missed and kept looking. Maybe the "loosing" screen could tell you what items _were_ correct.
The first time I also got caught because I passed the "noise" threshold while going left, so at the wrong moment, and didn't understand what I had done wrong. I understood it on the next run (very good idea by the way)
I ended up trying ~5 times until getting it right, I liked the winning screen ;)
Overall, all aspects are very well done, it's a very solid entry!
Edit PS: Oh, and I love the pun in the game's title!
You are one of the only who noticed the eyes following the mouse, good job
To change the splash screen : Project -> Project Settings -> General tab -> Application/Boot splash -> "Image" and set a custom one ! We use one of the splash screen made by KenneyNL that you can find here : https://github.com/KenneyNL/Godot-SplashScreens/tree/main, enjoy !
