Crazy Trashy by bearcage
Drive a truck! Collect trash! Collect .... other things? Mysteries abound!

Controls
- Movement - WASD
- Collection arms - E/Q
- Pull up next to trash and press key
- E for right arm available from the start
- Q for left arm is a purchasable upgrade at the depot
- Pause - Esc
Known Issues
- The depot is unmarked -- it's in the big parking lot behind where you spawn, through the gate, just drive back there and in to the middle of the lot.
- Street sweeper ticks up trash even if you don't drive anywhere
- The secret objective takes kind of a long time to finish, but it does end!
- There seems to be a crash that only shows up after playing for a while, which I couldn't repro in the debugger :-(

I must say I love the 2D aesthetic, with the harsh rising 3D buildings, I might steal that art style one day
The controls and goals are easy to understand, but the depot was a little bit difficult to find, I stumbled upon it randomly.
Sadly, I didn't complete the game because it froze 🥲 but it was fun while it lasted.
As soon as i heard the willhelm scream i couldnt stop running people over.
The style is great!
However, the first time I got lost and had to restart the game. A minimap with an arrow would have been nice.
I found the interface to buy stuff really hard to use, because it doesn't clearly show what I have, what I can buy and what is equipped.
On my second try, the game hung up when I killed someone with the maw and I needed to restart, but not a big deal.
All in all, it is a very good submission!
Overall I enjoyed it quite a bit :D good job!
most environment art was created by @wles and most character art and collectible art was created by @ajores. all of it was created in house!
Ran over some guys out of curiosity.
Found out how arms work immediately after...
It was all uphill from there, as I'm sure you can imagine.
Unfortunately, game crashed spontaneously when I ate a guy (he was already dead) while trying to appease the blood god. Guess that one was poisoned. Might try again after this comment.
Anyway, more tangible critiques:
-Car is just a bit harder to control. Although, if this jam has taught me one thing it's that cars are hard.
-Arms are a bit tricky to figure out, given their selective range.
-It's really easy to get lost with the lack of notable landmarks. I think a marker to lead you back to the depot
after you've filled up on human viscera would've been quite helpful.
-Music was a bit repetitive
+Loved the spritework
+Loved the... alternative playstyles?
I played the HTML version and couldn't get the "appendages", I'm not sure if it just didn't make it in or what, but I still had a great time.
One thing I would've changed is waiting to reveal the blood meter until after you collect someone or run them over, I just feel like it would've been more impactful finding that mechanic out that way.
Wonderful entry! Very colorful and creative :)
