Asshole Transit Bureaucrat 2015 by BadgerPriest
In Asshole Transit Bureaucrat 2015, you play as a transit bureaucrat in charge of bus routes. You're also a real jerk. You're secretly being paid by the car-sharing company Super Inc. to subtly redesign bus routes to make people as unhappy as possible with public transit.
In each level, you're presented with a bus network. You can swap the order bus stops within the network and run a simulation of buses and traffic in the network over the course of a day. Several metrics are displayed while the bus simulation runs. If all of them are in the red at the end of the day, you progress to the next level.
We were hoping to make a full game using this idea. Unfortunately, we ended up having time only to make a few levels, and they're not super exciting in terms of gameplay. Maybe someday we'll finish this up and make it the cool puzzle game it deserves to be.
We also made a level editor that we used to design the levels for the game. To use the level editor, click to place or select points. To delete a point, press [DEL] or [X] while selecting the point. To make a road, click select the start point, and hold [SHIFT] while you click on the destination point. The bottom of the editor displays raw Elm output (unfortunately not super helpful if you're not a programmer). The level editor doesn't support placing bus stops, car spawners, etc. yet - that can only be done in the code directly.

- Nothing gets explained regarding how buses traverse the city. Even at the first level I'm left puzzled how they all go through center and not via sides.
- The bus doesn't follow its route - I have set BACD and it goes ABCD
- The time is sooooo sloooow... I already want to triple or quadruple it
Otherwise it's a pretty solid game :)
Very well presented, but a little too short right now and in need of some performance / response tweaks. Good work!
Also, making only one change to the route seems too simple.
I love the idea though.
