The graphics are neat and very fitting to each other, it feels consistent and looks also very consistent. The core gameplay is pretty simple and can be done with basically just one hand and if you want to take it to an extreme, with one finger.

What I think would be the best to improve is the time it takes to produce something with the miners. The requirements are pretty high, and automating the mining processes does not feel very rewarding. Some upgrades, lower requirements or higher baseline productions from the miners would give the gameplay a faster paced feeling, as the engagement with the game flattens very quickly. The flattening does not mean it is bad tho, I do love simple games, which I can just play out of the box.

Nice artwork and a fun gameplay loop. It never ended up feeling like I was made useless by the drones, but the still did help to ramp up the speed that everything progressed at - nicely done with a tricky bit of balance. Well done!

Beautiful and very polished! Really love the way you collect resources by hovering your mouse. My only complaint is that I didn't have the patience to see the ending (but I don't love idle games for that reason)

Absolutely mesmerized by your design—those tile interactions scratch the same satisfying itch as Settlers of Catan while hitting a hypnotic rhythm that’s all yours. I love that building my HQ isn’t the end; it’s when the world really opens up. Elegant systems, gorgeous pacing, and that just-one-more-tile pull—chef’s kiss. Bravo!

Really great entry! The chill music and sounds were great, the art was cohesive and a great color palette. Really like the take on the theme, and enjoyed the mild incremental almost factory elements. Really liked the manual collection, the juice when the resource flys up and into the cursor was great. Good job!

Gorgeous graphics, playing is a vibe. I'd have like to see more meaningful upgrades as the drones feel fairly weak compared to manual collection. That being said, it felt very polished. Great job!

Great jam entry! I think the pacing is a little off - I got 12 drones pretty quickly and mindlessly and a handful of plants and felt like it was time to just let them do their thing for a minute - buying more stuff or staying active didn't feel necessary. Visuals are great, mood is great, music is great, great job overall!

This game is really fun — it’s the one I’ve spent the most time playing, and it’s truly amazing. The concept is pure genius and has incredible potential. If the developer adds more buildings and upgrade options, it would be absolutely unbeatable. The visuals and music are both fantastic. The only pity is that there aren’t more upgrade options or new content later on. Still, this game is a 5-star masterpiece in my heart.

Thanks for checking out my other game :)

**Those are completely different games:**

* **Steam** - puzzle strategy game in which you destroy tiles against a deterministicly spreading fungus.
* **This game** - clicker / idle / incremental game in which you place buildings and create units and gather resources both manually and automatically.

Both are pixel-art tiles based games though. I guess I love tiles ⬛ ⬛ ⬛

Soooooo good! the polish is perfect. My only complain is that since there is no uppgrade to the machines there is diminishing return to buying them (since they cost more without being more efficient), si at the end it's more optimal to just wait for 1200 than to keep building more... but it's a super good game.
🎤 Aviv Levy
Oct 08th · 11:43 UTC
@blatalzar Thanks! I really wanted to add upgrades (faster drones, faster resource output, extra yields, etc), new buildings, units and maybe a way of increasing the map size, but the scope was already very ambitious. Hopefully in a post-jam update!

Very Nice Game!

I think to be even more addictive it misses the kind of insane scaling ala cookie clicker. At some point the progress slows down a lot. I felt like I had seen evetything and the last bit of getting to 1200 felt more like a chore than fun!

But up to that point it was really a lot of fun!

Oct 09th · 08:10 UTC
Really good game! Played until the goal building is done and I loved every second of it. One really small nitpick I have is the resources orbit around the mouse instead of directly going into it. Kinda makes it hard to collect them which makes it teeny tiny bit less satisfying

Awesome game and great polish, the animations were very smooth and satisfying, at the start I felt an awesome sense of growth, placing down miners and drones was very fun!

Some of the good things were that it felt very polished and cozy to play. Some negatives I would point out is that once you reached the point where you had miners and drones, the game didn't have that exponential element that many games of this genre have that I enjoy, still very impressive for a game jam though!

Great game and I hope to see your team in future jams :)

@lrdjj Thanks for the kind words! I definitely wanted to expand on that, but the scope was already pretty ambitious for a jam. Beyond the obvious stuff (upgrades, new units, more buildings, etc), I’m curious if you have any ideas on how to better hit that exponential sweet spot.

Very strong visual. I get high from this water, I get high from picking up objects with the cursor and how it feels.
It is not very convenient to always open the menu with buildings, considering that you are constantly building them. Overall, it's a very enjoyable jam game, good job!

Oct 09th · 17:03 UTC
Nice implementation of the gathering theme — it really gives off a bit of a Factorio vibe. I’d suggest adding more upgrades, especially for the drones, since it was actually faster to collect the needed resources by hand than to wait for them to do it.

If you’re planning to keep developing the game, I’d recommend revisiting and refining that part in more detail. I’d definitely love to see a continuation :)

Simple yet fun game! (I'm a bit embarrassed to say this but it took me a while before I figured out that the drones were at the top of the list haha)
🎤 Aviv Levy
Oct 09th · 19:01 UTC
@solvenoff totally agree about drone upgrades. If manually collecting is faster, it ultimately kinda kills the point. It's for a sure a product of having to rush everything. Let me know if you have any other ideas for improving this aspect, as it seems it's a major issue with the game :)

@dominosxpizza don't be, you're not the only one! That's a ux issue not a you issue haha. Glad you enjoyed the game though 😄

Oct 09th · 19:22 UTC
I don't know why exactly, but between the sound effects and art/animations, this was really addictive. It felt so good to produce and collect resources!

It was confusing to get drones at first, and then the cost increases got wild (it would have cost as much as the headquarters EACH for the auto-generators of two different resources). And I wish the window for manufacturing buildings stayed open (I had to reopen it quite a bit). But this was wonderful!

I successfully drained the planet to extinction. Amazing animations and satisfying game, really cool
WilloXs
Oct 10th · 14:11 UTC
So i think i solved the game: To get the headquarters as fast as possibly you build in turn each of the collectors until you have 5 of grey and green and four of purple. You DON‘T want to get drones - they are a waste of ressources in this scenario, as you can just do one circle mouse motion to do their job anyway.
After you got this setup you click the purple stuff to keep up or overcome the production of the others until you have enough.

There is no mathematical formular or anything but 5-4 seems to be the point of deminishing returns for how long the wait time seems to be till the end.
🎤 Aviv Levy
Oct 10th · 15:08 UTC
@willoxs That's super helpful - the balance is definitely off between manual collection and drone automation. I definitely didn’t intend for that, so thanks for breaking it down! Got any ideas on how the balance could feel better? 😁
WilloXs
Oct 10th · 15:49 UTC
Mhh - the main "problem" seems to be just that you don't need drones. This could be helped by making resources disappear after some time afterwards, but then it gets annying to the player. Also the collection mechanic for the mouse is very efficient so you could make it harder to collect them for the player without drones (for example you need to actually click them as well) but again this would be really annoying...

There is also the thing that collecting the res by mouse feels more rewarding than droning them in.

My best but kinda frustrating guess is to replace the drone system by something more impactful.

Wow - coming up with any maechanics is really hard. That shows you did a good job designing it in such a short time 😅
🎤 Aviv Levy
Oct 10th · 16:43 UTC
@willoxs - haha for sure. It's both very rewarding to play with the mouse, and also very satisfying to automate things with drones. It's like the game wants to be two different things in a way. Definitely something to think about!

I actually thought about 'zones of influence' for the mouse, similar to black and white, so you'd have to rely on drones until you can build a pylon or something that will increase the zone of influence. But that raises other issues.

[Also Posted on the Itch site] I love this! A really cool Cookie Clicker like! Really well polished. A bit of work and I'd play it as an idle game regularly. So the rest of the Feedback comes from a place of admiration, I don't think I played any other Jam game this long. What I would wish for Gameplay wise is to Upgrade your Buildings and drones, so that you could truly go infinite. I think it would actually make the optimization easier, for example you could add a merge drones option, that merges 2 drones and then they have the carrying capacity of 4. Than you could still have a hard limit on the amount of objects, while making the infinite dream more achievable. The same idea could be used for the Buildings and resources. Polish wise this is near perfect, the only minor adjustments I would wish for are that there is more variation in collection sounds (The sound is great, but you hear it thousands of times), and the background is sometimes a bit buggy and doesn't tile correctly.

I really loved the art for this game! I'm always a sucker for a good idler, and this was no exception. I looooved the sound effects and animations for picking up resources, and that I had the option to manually collect resources. One thing I longed for a little bit was a way to _upgrade_ my installations--I felt like my progress was rather linear instead of exponential, and exponential growth in production is something I really enjoy from resource games like this one.
🎤 Aviv Levy
Oct 12th · 16:08 UTC
Thank you! Really glad you enjoyed the collection feel.

You're spot on about the upgrades and exponential scaling - that's exactly what I wanted to add, but ran out of time during the jam... In fact, I added the "punishment" which is the rising prices, but not the rewards which is upgrades, boosts, improved automation, etc.

It's funny you mention it because I was literally just thinking about how to get that satisfying exponential curve in there. Definitely something I want to tackle next - so let me know if you have any suggestions 🤩

The drones feel a bit to expansive for what they do, maybe they could be a tad cheaper just to get the joy of them flying around on the screen without debating the resource cost with the higher ups.

What a nice and relaxing game! Love the art! With how fast player can collect stuff with mouse I didn't really felt like a lot of drones is needed, so maybe slight re-balance of those things would improve the game (or maybe not). Anyway, good job with the game!

A simple but enjoyable game. It's especially cool that objects fly behind the mouse - this is the coolest thing in the game!
