Henchman by sylvainAB
Henchman is a game where you play as a demon out of its long sleep because of some archaeologists came pillar that remains.
You should all eat before your domain becomes empty. Only very careful in your footsteps and principally made in the light that is deadly for you!
This game has options to change the resolution, the choice of keyboard (AZERTY or QWERTY) and other small options to enable or disable to improve FPS.
- I had the time to create a single level.
- All archaeologist discusses them, and about discution changes if it is seen or not the demon.
- The devil has a view that allows him to feel those enemies around him.

For QWARTY keyboard :
Q = Rotation left for camera
S = Backward the camera
E = Rotation right for camera
A = Left the camera
D = Right the camera
W = Forward the camera
right clic = The monster forward in the curseur
right clic + backspace = The monster run in the curseur
For AZERTY keyboard :
A = Rotation left for camera
S = Backward the camera
E = Rotation right for camera
Q = Left the camera
D = Right the camera
Z = Forward the camera

UPDATE (25/08/2015) V0.001 :
Content of the update:
- Automatic Disabling vertical synchronization.
- Changing audio system.
- Disabling system "ramp" in GLSL.
- Added new option "lightHD" which enables or not the HD light.
- Added simple definition light.
- Changing the SSAO effect to add a more "toon".
These few changes made stable games, he now works on all computers.

Content of the update:
- The level of completion window and failure levels have been update.
- Changing the speed of the camera, faster.
- Reactivity faster monster.
- Removed some element of scenery blocking archaeologists.

The camera is a bit difficult to hold. Thank you for have thought of azerty keyboard.

The last days to fix several problems linked to the archaeologists and the end of the level. It is a slow gameplay, or you must wait until the small archaeologist and disperse it becomes vulnerable at the same time.
In his group he invinsible.
I really couldn't figure out the camera controls and I think the experience could be greatly improved with a camera which follows the character automatically.
I had trouble figuring out how to get past the archaeologists without being seen and dying and therefore I couldn't have a lot of fun playing it.
Also, the game would crash every time I died and it tried reloading the menu.
Overall - all the aesthetics are great but would love to see more work on functionality and playability next time. Well done!
Some remarks :
- A camera which follows the character automatically would greatly improve the playability.
- The game is too hard for a "1st level", too many archaeologists, too grouped, and the light hurts too much.
- The game run well on my computer, but it's an Alienware... :D
- The game crashes every-time after I die.
- The map should be turned like the main view for easier orientation. In fact, an automatic follow camera and a fixed direction would be better for both gameplay and orientation.
- Archeologist's speech would be more readable with less width and 2 or 3 lines, like comics's bubbles.
All in all it's a very great entry, I would enjoy to see an enhanced version. I would also like to read a "post mortem" of this project, with your comment about using the Blended3D Game Engine ;)
