the visuals and the atmosphere are really cool, everything is chill.
maybe a link to a itch.io version to play it in fullscreen would help enjoy it even better.
cheers!
I liked this game but I couldn't get enough stamp money each time :c and also the SFX are a bit loud :/
Well, on the second day you probably collected the round woman stamp and two identical stamps showing green triangles and circles, right? You obviously need to collect the woman, but are the green triangles realy the most valuable stamp? Is there maybe something that is worth slightly more? Look at every stamp closely!
I thought I needed to glue on a fake stamp from the book, but nope.
In any case, the game looks great—it's almost a complete project, definitely a thumbs up.
I also made a stamp-stealing game, it's always funny to see how others use that same idea to make completely different games
You're right, definitly not worth 999$! Or is it?🤔
I really want to be in the stamp club!!!
(edit to add the 7's kinda look like 1's to me)
Apolpogies for the 7's and 1s looking similar, we did notice that before submitting the game, but at a point where it was to late to change...
My only concern is that it is extremely punishing and tedious to have to replay all the levels just because you couldn't figure out 1 level. If the levels had some randomness to it, it would make sense, but now it's just a chore having to replay the ones you already figure out to get back to where you were.
I think if you would allow the player to just restart from the level they failed, this would be a flawless game! Really great job you guys!
But this game has a lot of charm, especially with the ability to sort you stamps in-between rounds and the fun little post-its all over the place. I really liked what you did in the short time frame!
- Love the different kind of stamps and how similar they can be. I also like how the book is random each session
- The explanation sheet was a bit confusing to me. The tutorial level was much more clear to me
- Level 4 I don't really get. Maybe I missed something? The mission was to get 100$ worth of stamps. I found one that was >100$ and collected it. The mission failed though?
- I don't like how the game throws you back to the start when a level is failed. It feels like a chore. Maybe the levels could have been a bit randomized? Or maybe de stamp values? That way, when the game restarts, you can't do it from memory
The music and graphics are beautiful and I like how there is an indicator for the number of levels
->Sorry about the explanation sheet(I personaly found it clear but I guess I already knew what it's supposed to say lol), @myheadmess probably was under time pressure too when making it... It's supposed to explain to you that you want to join the stamp club but don't have enough money, so you decide to steal stamps from mailboxes
->We actually thought about randomizing the levels early on, but it would have been fairly complicated to code, as you can't just spawn random stamps but have to make it so that you have multiple similar ones per level, every level is solvable, there's only one correct solution, etc. so it the end there simply wasn't enough time ):
->For day 4 I think you're mixing something up: On day 3 the objective is to get a single stamp worth 100$(The mouse). On day 4 the objective is to get your collection to a total value of 700$(duck with eye, mountains & duck without eye). Some people pointed out that with the font we used "7" and "1" look very similar, maybe that's the reason?
Oh so, that's the lore the first sheet was explaining! I will take a look later on. I want to finish it so I'll be back later I think :-)
Randomizing the levels can be very difficult indeed, it gives an extra dimention of potential trouble to keep track of. Maybe a button to restart the day would suffice then. It can be frustrating to do keep doing level 1 over and over again
