I didn't leave a rating, because it wouldn't be fair to rate you without any text! I just wanted to give you a heads up! I'll try to remember to come back and check things out again later though - I really like the art! :)
有种电波系的感觉,各种胡言乱语非常可爱
I think maybe a little info about the character would be nice to make it easier (or at least have escalated difficulties) but overall I really enjoyed my gameplay!
Would love to know more about the lore and worldbuilding! I think it have a potential in that direction
Great job!
I think the timing was kinda harsh, sometimes i had to just quickly guess a text since i did not have time to read all and were quite many times left confused.

{同意,我也要夸一下程序(@sonnie-sun)和美术老师(@ciphereo)真的超级厉害👍👍👍}
The art was amazing though, I was very pleasantly surprised with the look and feel of the game, and your take on collecting was very original. All in all, very good submission!

I'm not sure I got the game though.. maybe it's because English and Chinese are not my first language - I felt like I don't have time to read the texts, and I didn't always got what an answer was correct. I also didn't got the proce time at all :(
It's a shame because it's seem like it's a really nice game, and I would like to experience more of it
* The wispy cat in the game-over screen - I feel like I could get that tattooed!
* The cat-like red-gradient entity - so gorgeous to look at, I clicked on it whenever I could just to see it more
* The dark skinned dancer in the neighborhood - all the humans were great, but I loved them the most
To add to that - there is some great mechanics here.
The premise was a joy to figure out, and the proc forcing you to swap from "which is the weirdest" to "let me lean into the weirdness" was a great touch. Plus, it makes you pay attention to every click. The pacing felt great, and the difficulty was just right.
On top of that all magnificence - the writing was groundbreaking! I continually thought: "Oh - what a clever way to highlight an oddity that people actually say!"
I kept thinking you were going to 'run out' of convincing statements that were clearly 'logical phrases' but that toed the line with gibberish. But not only did you have plenty to keep me guessing, they actually got _more_ difficult with the later levels! I can't emphasize how impressive this is - I'd find it near impossible to find a few of these 'simultaniously odd but also convincing' phrases, but you wrote a trove of them, that fit the theme of each character, and got more challenging!
Just to highlight my favorite:
"why can planes fly if I can't" - this is a perfect example. It smacks of gibberish at first glance, but is a real question I've heard kids ask! At has the exact 'kind' of non-logic that is real in a young persons mind, whereas the 'true gibberish' (my knife sings lullabies) is discernable because it bears no relationship to the way people think. "The sound of wood is warm" is another jaw-droppingly accurate example, one that I've actually heard from carpenters, but that a non-wood-worker might balk-at at first-blush.
I actually wish I could go back and just explore around the neighborhood more, just to make sure I got to see every line.
Truly stellar art, design, and writing. I'm thoroughly impressed. You should all be very proud.
- I think the timer here is too harsh. Maybe the game doesn't need it at all, or it should be much slower. I don't know if there's enough time to read bubbles in Chinese, but in English there's a lot of text and for foreigners (for whom English is the second language) it can be quite challenging.
Anyway, thanks a lot for your game! I really liked reading the bubbles (whichever I had enough time to read) :eyes:
Really unique entry, glad to see it!
My English isn’t very strong, so I stopped after finishing the first area, but the idea is genuinely interesting. The graphics are unique and stylish, and the background music is really pleasant too.
Like!
All of that being said, I like the innovative idea, the awesome arts (graphics and music), and the global mood of this game, good job!
Moreover, there is a "skip" button on the top right corner during the tutorial, which can make you go direct to the square. Hope you have fun playing and enjoy exploring more, :P
I just had an issue with the layout as i'm on a widescreen monitor but that's ok ! also after a failed purification i was stuck and had to restart.
Overall cool game !

玩的1.1的版本,对游戏的整个情绪的理解偏黑色幽默。一开始还以为是不是玩了什么英文梗结果切到英文一样,还是有点太对电波了hh
不是哥们这美术是jam能享受的牛大了
I'd love to see the full version, amazing work!
Beautiful aesthetics, but even more so quite the clever and original idea. I really enjoyed what I saw, and I think I can understand why people say the timing is a bit tight, but I feel like it's close to perfect. There's just a ton of polish here and it's clear the team put tons of effort into the project! Great work all around.
When I previously played the English version, as expected, switching to Chinese made me understand a lot of hidden jokes. I love watching this when I'm out and about.
I noticed that I got often repeating choices during the "dialogues" (even within the same dialogue) which made some conversations easier than the others. The gameplay idea is interesting, but the timer and the repeating choices (based on character) are probably hard to tweak.
The LD version didn't work for me - I used the one on itch.io.
I enjoyed the playthrough - very good entry, congrats!
But overall, there's a very strong idea and foundation here, congrats!
However, there were often confusions related to the characters' lines, especially when choosing from three lines. We usually had to click randomly because the lines didn't make much sense, or the one that seemed the most appropriate/most absurd turned out to be incorrect.
