this is phenomenal, i adore the gameplay, and its a super fun design!

The gameplay was very fun, and is feels different enough from balatro. There was a lot of interesting ideas (multiply by length of word, collect the letters in the name of the ennemy...), but I think the deckbuilding could have been more developped. I find the objective of collecting all the lettrs a bit disturbing since most deckbuilding games push the player towards specialized decks, and having all letters prevent the player from getting the letters he needs in a fight.

Love this idea and enjoyed playing this, although the lack of variety stopped me from getting to the end! I'm curious what you did to define the words, as there doesn't seem to be many of them - for example Sean and Bao were not allowed

Clever twist on Balatro-style gameplay — spelling words to battle is both fun and strategic. The “collect all letters” goal adds a unique layer, though it sometimes clashes with deckbuilding flow. Still, super creative and satisfying to play. Would love to see more word variety in future updates!

I really like the spin the idea, on one hand similar to Wordplay, on the other different enough, with ease to modify your deck, ability to heal up (and even grind to get sets of letter you like).
Without the roguelike aspect and with the grinding, I do see it becoming hard to do fun upgrades that you can't just grind towards, but for a small Ludum Dare game? It's okay

Wow, really impressive! I'm not very good at Worlde kind of games, especially not in my native language, but it was a fun experience. Cleverly designed features like scoring, shops, upgrades, progression work together very well. Good job! :heart:

Unfortunately I died around Zombie level as I had spent all my paper to heal myself and had very few upgrades :cry:

You should really start rating/promoting your game, because as of now, you only have one rating out of twenty necessary.

This could be a great educational game for kids (to practice spelling). Love the idea, and the visuals are cute.

I really enjoyed this game. Collecting the letters from the defeated enemy names was actually pretty clever. Great job. I had fun. I would definitely play more of this if there was more to play.

Good game. I had to take advantage of the ability to replay old levels to heal, but did manage to win. It is an interesting concept and executed well. The graphic style suits it well and the only real complaint I have was that ower defaulted ot number of tiles was unobvious to me.

Without replaying, I was only able to make it to the third set of enemies (didn't realize the fourth unlocked a low level enemy so maybe I could have survived after that though).

Very good game, I really enjoyed the gameplay and it's well balanced. It's neither too easy nor impossible. Very well done.

Really addicting game! The UI is very well done and super polished! The powerups and enemy debuffs were really unique and definitely kept me engaged for a long time. I didn't realize I had to click on the letters to collect them, so I completed half the game with just the starter deck. I would also like to see some more difficult enemies, that really put your vocabulary to the test! But still, this is a very enjoyable game! Great job!

Great game idea of turning scrabble into a collecting game. The artwork was very nice and I enjoyed the animations in the interface, although the summing up your score did take awhile. I managed to complete it but only by beating up that poor bat again and again. With some more art and sounds this could be a very good standalone game. Very cool!

Really enjoyed this one, hard to go wrong with Scrabble mechanics, and a great iteration on that!

I like that you put a twist on the Scrabble-Balatro mechanic with a bit of RPG combat in it. Had fun with it!

Nice concept. The `skip loot` should really not actually skip it and instead skip the requirement to click each to get them.

Even though the art is very simple, it's very cute. I missed audio. I imagine the lack of time didn't allow for that "luxury."
