Welcome to Wisps and Stars, the autobattler deck builder by kataraxie and pepnou!

Collect celestial champion to aid you with special abilities. Build a powerfull deck with up to 10 cards and use it to fight foes and win more cards.

Disclaimers: Guess what ? Making a card game is hard. Too hard for us at least. Sorry for the lack of polish. Champion do not grand any abilities (you cant event drop then), cards are missing and ... a lot of other things .... Anyways, thanks for playing our game.

Game Rules:

  • You draw 1 card each turn.
  • You can have up to "number of turn + 1" card on the board (2 on the first turn).
  • You can move each card once each turn to a neighbooring spot. If the destination spot is occupied both cards are swaped (only if none of them have been moved this turn).
  • Destroyed cards are removed from your deck.
  • The enemy follows the same rules.

This art is so so so lovely! Feels like a really solid start to a card game as well. Great work!

The overall feeling is quite relaxing, making to different from some intense card-playing games. Well done~

The art direction is flawless, great vibes
it's ambitious to make a functional card game for a game jam, congrats

I would suggest continuing the game to add all of the mechanics you weren't able to add and a lot of feedbacks on player actions, error messages when they try to do something they can't, that kind of things !

I love auto battler games, so this game is pretty nice! Graphics are fancy, and making a card game requires a little bit of engineering. Great job!

A bug prevented me from being able to place any cards so I just kept pressing next turn and watching my opponent do stuff. The music and graphics work together to create a wonderful aesthetic.

Hey. I had wanted to try this, but the white on light blue's contrast makes a lot of the UI really hard to read for those of us with bad eyesight.

That said, I'm excited to see deck builders here. I did one a couple years ago and that definitely presented challenges for developing a game under this kind of time pressure. That said, it is fun to be ambitious on these occasionally.

Fun Idea, would love to see it if you had more time for content and balance. Always a curse during these jams. But I do like the premise you have going and it plays nicely. great job!

A nice effort for making a card auto-battler for a game jam, love the ambition. The art is lovely and the music takes you away to the place. Could see this being expanded. Great work.

A very strong concept, but the gameplay seems a bit incomplete. I'm looking forward to a more complete version. I know the opponent will choose attacks in a certain order, but the card obtained without using a key only requires you to find a way to drain the opponent's cards to win, which is a bit strange? But it makes sense!

I guess I need a version that is more localizable and acceptable.
