It's a really cool idea. I was surprised that I hadn't thought of it myself. The idea for the game deserves to develop further into something more, I am convinced that many people may be interested in it. Collect statistics from a variety of games about what they can earn achievements for. Make gameplay in the world, link some achievements there too. In general, the author is a great fellow, I give the highest score.

A game full of good ideas, it's fun to try to find every achievements (only found 22/30...) and the game when you can play is so fun. Good job!

It reminds me of the time when I was constantly looking up guides and trying things out to collect game achievements. It was great!

quite the fun game, chocked full of good references, some were quite hard, so I had to use my brain right after a game jam, so I'm surprised there's still any gas in the tank for thinking.
also pretty sure there was a Chainsaw Man reference in there, literally read the aquarium a few days ago.

only issue I found was the 1.21 gigawatts achievement not sure if I was just in the wrong place, but I tried all the dates the lighting striking date, both 1955 and 1985, and 2015, October 21st, and even tried birthday and "today's date" in various orders and just could not get it sll in all had a blast for 20 munites paying about and clicking bits, maybe a few less date puzzles

This gave me a lot of laughs! Didn't get the die hard achievement or the one about paying attention, but I had a lot of fun getting the rest!

Found this really interesting! I didn't get too far due to time, but the concept is cool. Couldn't get past colourblind mode though, apart from resetting progress but then I had to start over and that made me sad. Might come back to this again when I have more time in the future.

The idea is interesting overall, but I got stuck at 15 achievements — I couldn’t set the birthday, and nothing happened when I tried to adjust the date. Still, definite points for the concept :)

@rise12600 It was the Asa Monologue, I'm so happy someone got the reference! :D
the date was this one: https://youtu.be/FWG3Dfss3Jc?si=UibKhebxqGk0bIOe&t=240 it's true Back to the future has a fair few dates, I should have been more precise for that one ! We also felt like there was a few too many date puzzle, but we also wanted people to get 1 or two expecting no one to get them all, a post jam version would probably keep the best and add a few more things outside of them !

@mxandromeda Someone didn't read the credits! Shame!
and Die hard is a Christmas movie! ;)

@jellyjam left clicking a few times will let you get past colorblind mode ! we are working on improving it so people don't get stuck anymore for the post jam version, thanks for the feedback !

@melomaner Setting the birthday to the same day/month as the current date gets you the birthday achievement, and setting the same year gets you a second one :)

As an achievement hunter, you've got me good there.
It took me a while to get all the dates, I probably played for around 40 minutes till completion.

Hum, the game concept is amazing, I laugh a lot. I did thought about it when brainstorming about the theme, but I didn't have enough creative jokes for it. I am so glad a team made a game like that. I had a blast. Thank you!

28 / 30 for me. (And I only got the Back to the Future one because of your comment) I didn't have the intelligence for 'Do You Remember' & 'Timelooping woodchuck'.

This was a lot of fun to play, and serves as a good reminder of how much you can do with very few mechanics; something I need to learn when it comes to my own entries.

I'm 10 seconds in and I had to run back to make sure I put a 5 in for humor and theme. first full on laugh of the jam

So so fun. Exactly my type of humour, this speaks to me so hard. I had a really fun time collecting all the achievement, but I'm a bit disappointed that there is no achievement for having all of the achievement :P

Merci Bob.

This is definitely one of the funniest and most creative games I've ever played in a game jam. What a fantastic idea, and very well executed. I love Pico8 games, and you really surprised me. Trying to figure out what the next achievement will be is delightful.

I haven't gotten them all yet, but I left the saved game here to play tomorrow. I want to master this game!

Congratulations.

I collected them all! Now, was I supposed to be playing a game... ?

The Konami code achievement didn't fire for me for some reason, I tried it a whole bunch of times, looked it up to double-check I knew it (of course I do, I'm "old"), tried it again, swapped Z/O ordering around and back a couple times, and then it finally fired, no idea why... Looking up random dates and adjusting the clock got a _little_ old (although I found about half of them naturally).

Was fun, and I love the PICO-8 feel.

Awesome game, perfectly sized for a game jam. Very fun twist that the actual "game" is not the game and everythign that is typically "not" the game is the actual game. Loved the jingle for getting an achievement overall really strong entry!

What a fun game! Never thought about using the menu structure as the game itself! Very clever and those achievements are funny  Did not get all of them though. I thought a lot were pop-culture references regarding setting the date. Maybe the date-thing could have been a bit less in my opinion. The menu itself is made very well. I love the particle effects when clicking checkboxes

I feel like I'm playing a meta game instead. Anyways, nice work with this. I wish there would be better way to adjust dates in date option but this should do for now.

This is absolutely incredible. And hilarious. It's definitely not easy to pull something like this off in a way that's genuinely funny, and you did it with flying colours. I'm just grinning like a madman and thoroughly impressed by your game. This is exactly the kind of crazy idea with a brilliant execution that make game jams special!
