Monster's Survival by nintendo master

[raw]
made by nintendo master for LD33 (JAM)
So this is my first game and I made it with Stencyl. I just tried to learn as much as I could to see what I could pull off and be able to submit an entry.

Basically you are a monster that needs to survive being attacked without being knocked off the edges by the other creatures. Kill all the enemies by jumping and stomping on them.

Controls are left and right arrows to move and the space bar to jump.

Made in Eugene, Oregon at Fertilab Thinkubator with Bitforest Eugene Area Game Developers.

Thanks to everyone for helping me with my game.

I have to say, it's sort of satisfying to jump on the prongers one after another as they move upwards toward you.

Interesting game. A Short game, but in Ludum Dare every game counts. So nice job submitting :) !

Very short, but nice looking. I wonder why you didn't allow voting for graphics.

Also, at your web link you still have to download something.

Too bad the game is so short! I'd like to see more.

Good start, would like to see what you could do with it given more time!

You should change your "Web" link to be a download instead. Fun game, if a little challenging.

Cute. I like the sounds and the animation.

Is the bar in the upper left supposed to be a health bar?

Thank you all for your nice comments and helpful advice. Sorry about the extra download after you click on the Web link. I wasn't sure what to do exactly. I made the correction and I hope it is more clear now. Yes it is pretty short and I'll have to work on expanding it some more in the future.

Hey Alobker - Ludum Dare asks people in a Jam to opt-out of Graphics and Audio if you didn't make them. The program I used had these built into it, so I deselected these categories.

Hey jodizzle - Yes the bar was supposed to be a health bar, but unfortunately I couldn't figure out how to configure it in time. I decided to leave it in though, since it showed some sort of progress at least and it made it look a little better. haha

I can't lie, this game brought a smile to my face. Really simple, but really nice. I guess you shouldn't have made they fly towards the player, but it's okay. It's diferrent. I liked it.

Well, these are the materials of the stencyl crash course (the entry tutorial)
However you tweaked it a little bit to make it different, so it was nice to see that you add a bar on the top and that the sponger responded to your movements and even made them fly :)
Nice try!
