I've never played something like this, but the principle of the game is generally clear.

Hey, @orlov-nikolay, thanks for playing. I don't know if it used to be a thing in other places, but here in Brazil it was very popular in the early 2000s.

@jk5000 I guess it can be a bit confusing, specially without a tutorial, but the skill check has two parts: you first need to hold the spacebar to determine the force of the hit, and then you must hit the key again when the arrows are in the green part of the bar.

Its not bad at all! Took a little to get into but I really like the hand drawn cards. Gives an extra feeling to it! :D The linux version is very nice too :D

I found a friend to duel!

Nice little game, and good take on the theme!
Probably the AI should prioritize cards that you have in duplicates, and it would probably help the game to end faster? Some music/sound could have been nice as well (you could have recorded yourself slamming a cushion!)

Otherwise the game ran smoothly, we finished it and didn't encounter any bug

Well done!

@swynfel Yeah, during development I tried to think of ways of making sessions shorter with the card selection but didn't get to implement any in the end. About audio, yeah, I've got to stop leaving it for the last minute, half my jam games have no sound lol. Thanks for the feedback!

The control is a little bit confusing to me. But It does make me remember some childhood games. Interesting game.
