made by undefinist for LD33 (COMPO)
Pong meets Pacman.

When you eat the pellet, they turn to spike balls that hurt you...
Unless you're in monster mode, which activates when you hit the right wall.

Made in ~12 hours because I'm busy.
As such, it's not very polished. Hope you still have fun!

Awesome!!
This should have been a classic phone game!

A spin off idea it was making me think of was to make the snake monster grow when you eat the spike balls- then make sure to avoid your own tail.

Have you seen the http://kingpenguin.itch.io/pacapong game that is kinda in the same vein? (they didn't make it in record time tho I'm sure!!)

Awesome! This game would have made a super popular Arcade game back in the day, I'm sure! Nice job!

This is a really clever mechanic! More variety (different kinds of enemies/powerups/levels/etc) would add a lot to the replay value.

Fantastic take on pong! I included it in part 1 of my Ludum Dare 33 Compilation video series, if you would like to take a look :) https://youtu.be/SB3lix7PW1A

Awesome!
So simple yet so well executed. I would have played that on my phone back in the 90s instead of snake ahah

Simple game, and the idea isn't bad, although I wish you had expanded on it.

I liked the idea (very much). Isn't possible to do something after using up/w (on my computer - is that a bug?). Then I can't play it completely. Would be better have a button for restart too... :D

That was really good. I'd love to see what you could do if you spent the whole weekend on it. It did get a bit too easy once you figured out how everything worked, but the gameplay was solid, and it was very well polished.

Great game! Nice controls and nice movements. When I die and there's a "New Highscore!" the game get stuck, I have to exit to start playing agin - perhaps make the restart automatic? Awesome game!

So good, only you should put the HP bar on a "not playable" part of the screen, but anyway, funny game, grat job ^^.
