First Delivery by BrahGold

[raw]
made by BrahGold for Ludum Dare 53 (JAM)

A little game about being a witch making some deliveries.

My first time entering a game jam. I've enjoyed the experience. I got to experiment with some different aspects of GameMaker to my usual projects and everything smoothed out by the end.

If I learned one thing, it's that I'd make a terrible witch.

Either I don't understand how, or you can't chain more than one sweep while flying down. This would be so cool! Anyway, it's a great first submission, man! Join us next time to see how much you've improved! =D
P.S. nice crow buddy, gave me a little giggle

Good first jam! The core mechanic is there and it's honestly pretty fun, it makes me miss the old flash games where you launch stuff.

The flying was weird at first, but I actually got used to it after a while. Congrats on shipping a game jam game - you did great!

Good effort for a first time. I had some difficulty understanding the controls at first. Maybe add a little bit more help next time =)

Congrats on your first jam game! As others have said, the flying was a bit weird at first, but I got used to it and ended up quite liking it at the end when you could fly endlessly. I didn't understand the concept of pressing W while flying as the instructions made it seem like doing that influenced the initial take off angle. I thought it was one of those games where you choose your angle and power and your character just goes based off that trajectory. I did also think the gameplay was a bit slow to reset and I would have liked to have been able to play around with the flying some more, maybe have some obstacles to dodge or bonuses in the air to collect. Once again, nice job finishing and submitting your game, keep it up!!

I liked the little helper guy at the top of the screen and the overall concept is quite cute, but I found the controls a bit frustrating and kept getting stuck on the floor. It honestly felt like I was playing QWOP at times. Was that intentional, to simulate the experience of a newbie witch who hasn't quite got the hang of flying yet? If so, mission definitely accomplished.

I see some other commenters had a better experience with the controls, so it's certainly possible I just didn't understand something about it, or it just didn't click with me specifically.

Cool graphics and really smooooth gameplay. Had a lot of fun flying around especially after the last delivery when I could just go nuts and float around.

Loved the helper raven and the messages - I think this is the first game where I've really felt appreciated for making a delivery.

Missed sound, and felt like reseting after landing was kind of slow - but really liked the take off mechanics.

Great work :)

Really enjoyed the flying. Took me a little bit to get used to the reset delay. Nice job!
