Great entry, and now I'm in the mood for a vacation! :)
I think the water effect is really really good. The animation and the flickering light really sells the effect.
The map is big which is nice to navigate and plan but when I had to go the the sought east I had less visibility.
If I had one critique, I don't think it even needs the health and hazards. Just let the other ships wander to add life to the ocean.
I still really appreciated the speedboost button to quickly go past the empty spaces, but it would have been great if the turning speed also increased with the forward/backward speed.
The gameplay is not enough to keep up interested, but if you remove the map and add some short story each time we pick up/deliver something, it can keep the attention until the end.
So that a good start.
Well done.
