"Monster in Cuadrada" born with the idea that we see a monster in everything or everyone that is different.
So, in Cuadrada, a square land, one day a circle shows up... and the squares get scared! Some of them cry at their homes, but others start to fight it.

You are the circle... the squares are angry with you... you must run for your life.

NOTE: I haven't enough time to finish the game. Enemies don't do different things, you cannot shoot, there are only two levels... no music... two sound effects... no parallax or anything in background... yeah, I know. But it's complete in the sense that you can try to finish that two levels. (This game scream for a post-mortem!)

NOTE 2: Tell me about bugs, things that can be better ;)

Post-Compo: this the version i'm currently working on (this is not the version that you must to rate, but you can see it if you want. The source code match to this version).

I love those flappy bird style games, I double liked because you used a very cool color pallete, If you improve it, it can sell very well on appstore!!! BTW, It brought me some 8bit feeling back. Thank you!

Thanks for the feedback. BoskoSokolov I has the same problema trying to play from my phone, and i'll try to fix it. But it tested on Chrome and Edge and works fine.

on the other hand, this game needs some polishing. there are some glitches, and i couldn't finish the first level, because in the end the scrolling stopped. I really liked the minimalist character design though

MFEP thanks for the feedback. The scroll stops, but you are supposed to follow through the right side to the second (and last, for now) level.

I found the jump sound effect to be too high pitch and annoying. No background music (I understand, you only had 48 hours). The gameplay is pretty alright, with some more polish it'd be pretty solid.

I really like the art style, especially the square characters. The range of characters you can make just inside a square with blocks of color is actually pretty cool.

I like how there's an ending. A lot games similar to this might make it an infinite runner. There's nothing wrong with that, but it's also nice to have a set ending and feel accomplished.

The art style works well, the sound effects are cool, and the game shows lots of promise! I like what I see, and I'm looking forward to the post-compo version!

I think the player character would feel better if the gravity was snappier because it felt a little floaty. I did like that some of the badies looked like batman :D

Good effort for the 48 hour timeframe. A couple of pointers:
- Let the player accelerate even when it is in the air. This way even if he missed the perfect jump because of colliding with an obstacle when the jump starts, he will have a chance of not getting totally screwed. It is only fair as the background scrolling never stops.
- Reduce the size and the speed of the squirrels. You must give the player sufficient window of opportunity before an obstacle kills the player.

I really like the "one tap jump" genre of game and I thought this was a cool take on that.
Had me addicted enough to complete both levels :P and the colours you've used are really nice!
