Game Jam Assistant by Frank Gevaerts
Game Jam Assistant is a text adventure written in Inform 7.
It’s playable on the web.
There is no graphics or audio in this game, so I opted out of those categories. I followed the Compo rules, but I had no time at all on Sunday to work on it so I'm submitting in Jam.
If you have never played a game like this before, you basically type what you want to do and the game responds. What you need for this particular game: - Looking at things, e.g. “look at rope” or “examine rope” or "read rope" (ok, that one doesn't make sense for ropes. But it does make sense for written things!), or the usual short form “x rope”. - Look at everything, including yourself! “look at self” or “look at me”. - Picking things up. “take rope” or “get rope”. - Talking to someone. "talk to merchant" or "say hello to merchant" (in this game, you don't have to say anything specific, so just "talk to merchant" is all you need) - Moving around. "go north", "go west", "go south", "go east", or their short forms "n", "w", "s", "e" - Giving something to someone. "Give rope to merchant"
Many other verbs work too. (there are no ropes or merchants in this game)
Look at everything, including yourself!
NPCs in this game are named after other LD participants. Thanks to them for letting me use their name!

I have to confess, that this is the first time I'm playing a game like this. But I really enjoyed it, especially the insider jokes, and managed to (I think) give all the papers to their corresponding authors. But there wasn't really an end screen, or is there? Maybe I missed something. I think I haven't interacted with Future Phil or Alpha wolf on a sensible way, so maybe I missed them.
By the way, I think I broke some jammers: after I gave them wrong papers at first, I could hear them considering ideas all around the map.
Anyway, really enjoyed it so far, thanks for including me, Frank! Cheers! :)
!>Alpha Wolf and Future Phil are really only there as decoration, especially Future Phil who doesn't really do anything at all. Alpha Wolf still walks around a bit (and will eat mushrooms and leaves if you give them to him
I type to the viewer on this playthrough a couple times.

That would be the first text adventure I ever finished :D But it was fun, full of easter eggs that only Pixel Prophecy community know. I ended up with drawing a map in google spreadsheets to keep track of where I am, but it's part of fun, I guess :)
I didn't find a way to extract logs from the game, so here's my playthrough instead. =)
