POSTJAM UPDATE

I have worked on the game a bit more and made a new build with incredible features like sounds and screenshakes! The web build (on itch) has been updated to the postjam version but the original jam version is still available for download (here and on itch), so please try that one for rating!

Worked on my own again and ran out of time to add audio in the jam version (#gamejamlife amirite?)

Also, the game strayed so far from the theme that I've removed theme rating

Michaels? The craft store? As a front for a secret organization of super agents? It's so stupid that it's obvious!

I had fun!! I liked the combat and walking around with over 100 michaels! Just crushing all enemies in the end was very satisfying =D

Despite having nothing to do with the theme, it is fun to run around with minions. Lacks a lot of feedback though.

Thanks for playing, @riley9 @simeon-radivoev. Totally agree with both of you, the good and the bad.
This game took longer to finish than I hoped, so I didn't get to audio, let alone feedback and polish.
But in the end, I'm really glad to hear you had fun

Congrats on finishing and submitting! Every submission to the game jam is always something to celebrate.

(Have you wonder why there’s so many michaels? XD)

"Have you ever wondered why there are so many Michaels?"

Thanks, @digx7 !

 It's not easy herding around so many Michael, @alec, gotta be careful.

@melanie-ann-stegman Poor Michaels...RIP :skull:

Reminds me of other swarm control games, like Pikmin and Overlord. Good mechanics to force me to avoid enemy AoE attacks with my Michael horde.

It ran well for a 3D browser game! Some good ideas, but that audio was hilarious.

It's impressive that the combat was so satisfying with such simple controls. Definitely wish you had time for audio. I just find the thought of a Michael cult charging into battle really amusing lol. Great job!

funny concept, ran well, little repetitive

This was pretty neat, it was literally like a Pikmen battling arena. I understand that it wasn't in theme but still super proud of you for finishing something like this!

Here's the VOD with timestamps!

Thanks @james-laird @binroot @djtequila @cheesecube @krassenstein for playing!

And thanks for the VOD, Krassenstein, I really appreciate seeing others play my games  (no matter how painful it can be sometimes). You actually did really well despite it being your first playthrough, you basically played through it exactly how I do :open_mouth:

Nice game! I love this kind of graphic with simple shaders and readable silhouettes. Also an interesting concept of crowd control. For me the movement seems a little slow, but overall good job!

Enjoyed surrounding the bosses with glowing light orbs! I don't know how this is not to the theme, delivery in the biblical sense, no? At a time I had trouble finding the enemies, trying to find them was unsatisfying. When finding the enemies, defeating them was satisfying!
I also did not find the stats before dying the first time and being ready to quit playing:D. It was also hard to understand that the pick ups are tickets to redeem (even though I thought I read the instructions in the beginning!)

Played the jam build (discovered the game by your update notice), must be better with the sounds and effects but haven't tried that yet.

One of the pickups spawned on top of a wall. Having to leave it there :(

Very cool entry! I had fun sending my Michaels around fighting demons. I never wanted to backrack to upgrade my group as they do move rather slowly, but luckily new upgrade station regularly appeared. Some of the MIchaels also got stuck in the world, but only a few. I also really liekd that the final battle felt appropriatly epic!

Thanks for playing, @dmitrygalias @essillore @fargred @lichtung !

You've highlighted some of the issues, essillore. Being a jam game (and running out of time), the rules can be a little archaic, I know. And that ticket in your image...I moved the turret just before submitting the build, and now that ticket will always end up there :(

Anyway, thank you very much for the feedback and do try the update, it's even more fun with the extra *juice*

Liked the controls, and the effects! May be some back-to-michaels button would be helpful if you moved the cursor far away from the group.

Here is my playthrough:

Thank you for the playthrough video, @icxon, I appreciate it so much! I've already commented on the video itself but it's so nice to see playthroughs from people. Especially for jams where there's never enough time to do proper playtesting, so it's good to see how someone who didn't make the game actually plays it
