In 'The Late Fee' you play as the average diving-suit-wearing Joe on his way to the VHS rental to return a tape. On your way you'll encounter obstacles such as Space Demons, Meteorites, sharks etc.

Controls

UP/DOWN/W/S to navigate menu

I like the music. Maybe 3 lives per game would be better, I can't stop dying xD Good work!

Nice game. Fun to play, but difficult. I'll tend to start shooting one thing, and then be killed by another. Maybe make enemies one-shoots as well? Art and music fit well.

I like the pyxel art and the music a lot !
It's pretty difficult, i had to skip to the boss.

Good job. The game feels really good, and the sounds are excellent. I also like the VHS theming.

I feel like the rockets were a little too fast, and having a little time after spawning where there were no enemies would have made restarting a little less frustrating.

Atmosphere is amazing. Every sprite and sound is great. The game is incredibly hard because of the slow movement and the awkward starting position - I died right away on my first try and didn't know what happened. Clicking repeatedly is also a hassle, maybe include rapid fire?

I like the context you put in that game : space diver, space sharks and hrm weird guys.
I like the rope effect following player.

Aside that, your game i unbalanced imo. I mean, the box collider of the space diver is gigantic so it si really hard to avoid being touched. Also, 1hit = death ? Damn.
Another things, it is annoying to clicliclicclicclicliclic to shoot every bullet.

Anyway, with better balance, some polish it could be fun :)

The art is a bit messy and missiles seem to be in a different art style than the other things.
