Experience the joy of commuting on a busy highway from the comfort of your own home!

Navigate through 5 lanes of busy traffic as you try to get ahead of the other cars and eventually reach the open road.

Find openings between the other vehicles to inch your way ahead, or patiently wait for another driver to eventually cause an accident, all while trying to avoid hitting the other cars.

Honk your horn to aggravate others, maybe prevent someone from rear-ending you, or just because you want to.

Known Issues

  • Occasionally after winning after on the highest difficulty, restarting or returning to the main menu crashes the game

  • On higher difficulties, the chance is higher that the starting cars around the player may bump each other, locking the player at the start. this chance is even higher if you honk at them enough at the start

Got an immediate genuine laugh out of me. Opening the game felt like a David Firth bit ala "Washing Machine Emulator". Actually controlled really nicely too, great enry!

Pretty funny take on the theme; gameplay is also smooth. Have to admit the traffic AI is a little weird and frustrating (or maybe this is by design, frustration again fits well with the theme) - there often seem to be cases with no gaps to take advantage of for ages; and when the other commuters try to cause 'accidents' it kind of seems like the player is disproportionately the one on the receiving end of those 'accidents'. That's only a minor thing though - overall really nice idea and pretty well executed, good job!

The idea is really fun, and I had fun trying it. But I would have liked it better if it was a bit less unforgiven.

Thanks for all the feedback! Yeah it seems like the behavior of the other cars still needs a lot of work, it's only supposed to be slightly frustrating, but maybe it's a little too unfair to the player 😅. I probably need to do some balance update that's a little more forgiving.

@vodzik Yes the horn does have some influence, the cars make a decision every few seconds where there is a small chance (3%) they will get go full throttle, or stop paying attention. The horn raises this chance by 1% up to a total additional 10%. At this point there's a 13% chance they'll hit someone from going too fast or ignoring what's in front of them. There is a small clue when they reach that maximum chance, they will flash their lights once, but honestly I should have probably just added some UI elements and explanation to give a better idea to the player. Also, if a car is in a state where they're not paying attention, the horn does switch that off, but if they're going too fast then even braking wont do much to help. It's great when they hit someone else and create an opening, but it can sometimes be very difficult to avoid as the player.
