Yooo It's not usually the genre of game I gravitate towards, yet I honestly think I had as much fun just randomly placing files and watching them battle than someone strategizing lol. That background is sooo satisfying and the music and juice were *chefs kiss*.

That was a blast! I don't really know what I was doing but it was really fun to try out new files and was sad to see ones I had for so long die or leave.

Great visuals and audio! The battle phase was satisfying as well. I may have missed something but I couldn't find a way to replace or swap my units around after I had a full board? It felt like I was just losing more spaces each round and couldn't do anything about it. Despite that it was an enjoyable experience!

Solid little game! Had a similar idea for mood, glad to see it implemented in a such a nice way! The music was a banger, absolutely loved it. Only feedback is maybe having more dialogue for the introductory round for a more diegetic way of explaining to the player what's going on. But who has time for that in a jam :joy:

Great game! Ran into a bug where I was trying to move my units around and they stacked on top of each other, and then when I began the battle they disappeared completely. Overall a fun game though, super cool idea

Did Manisha's last jam and had to try this one out. You guys absolutely rocked this entry! So much fun. Great work you guys!

The overall presentation is really great! It's hard to tell how the different files make a difference in battle and there doesn't seem to be any opportunity to switch things around if it's not working, but I think with a few tweaks this has a lot of potential!

Very nice game! Visauls and audio really give you an "inside a computer" vibe. I would like to have the ability to buy slots back or get rid of already placed files. As of now, I couldn't do much in the endgame since all of the available fields were occupied.

Very well made game. Even placing random files and watch the battles is fun.

Planning is a bit difficult, as you get random files and can't replace already placed ones. Plus, you lose a random file each round. I don't know how to influence the later stages, didn't make it past the 9th cycle.

I dont 100% understand how the game works but it is nicely polished and generally feels good to play.
Heres a bug for you to fix: I managed to stack multiple files on one chip by repeatedly dragging them onto each other (and still lost).

awesome game, nice graphics and sounds, really fun to plan what should go where, the leveling up is a really nice visual and auditory feedback, good job!

like i said, pog. File friends are now my friends. The buttons were not super obvious in the UI, would have liked more of a button sprite vs text. I thought the idea of files having classes was fun but would have liked to see more inclusion of the files themselves in these classes "What makes a bard a bard etc". I thought the combat was pretty fun with the particles flying off. Overall pretty decent game! Thanks for your efforts :D

This was a fun but hard game! I liked the aesthetics and had fun with the actual gameplay, but it did feel pretty heavily influenced by RNG as it impacted your spaces, available files, and modifiers on those files. in an above comment you mentioned not having the option to switch files, but you can actually do it if you click and drag a file multiple times far enough away. Even using the forbidden swap I never managed to make it past the last level though. Great job!

This game has a lot of depth, congrats! I managed to stack several files on a same tile and I'm not sure if it's intended but if it's not, I didn't get how to free spaces. Unique idea anyway, good job!

This was my first time playing an auto battler, and it was pretty fun! But the graphics and audio, now *that's* some good shit you got here! I love the funny pink skull guy :D

Really polished looking game. Was a little tough to figure out how to play (I understand there was a limited time frame to have a good tutorial level).

You managed to make this game feel finished despite the time constrains at this Jam. I fail to see how the endgame works tho: You constantly have less units while the enemy gains more, with no option to replace the existing ones. I played the game a few times, and the only thing I could do at the last few rounds was to press the "Begin"-button

Good work, good-looking, polished and playable. Is there a way to remove a file once it's placed? That would give a lot more strategic options. Is it possible to complete the game? At the end you only get a couple of slots while there are 10 enemies.

I played, stacked the shooters and they shot the targets and passed the level. I think I was playing the tutorial, I don't know. I didn't see fun or anything, but I know it was me, because I saw in the comments that the people above liked it and that it was a challenge and such. I think I missed something. The visuals and sounds fit well and the theme in this case seems to be the squares to move the shooters. I didn't enjoy playing the game, but it was personal.

@lincolnsalles There are 10 levels, you have to hit the begin button again once you're ready. :)

Sound & Art is great, the unit types are varied but I wish their attacks could be visually different as well. Could feel a bit monotonous at times if not for the dialogues at the end of each wave, which is a really nice addition. Great work overall tho!

I may need to learn the rule of shrinking space here but it's pretty fun setting files to attack other files.
I don't know if it's a bug or not but I could stack same files in corner space then place both in battle field.

I discovered a glitch that let me stack my turrets... no clue if that was intended, but probably not. I tried playing the game after my initial victory without turret stacking, and failed- so perhaps I'm playing this game wrong, ha!

Real talk though, the name of this game is a wonderful pun. I mention it in my recorded video, but it's even better if you consider how RAM is stored in "Pages" (at least in super old hardware... I have no idea of that's still a thing, but it certainly was for the 6502 CPU)

I love the audio in this game, and the old-skool graphics brought me back in time. I think game-play can be simplified by having fewer units — just a suggestion. Regardless, a creative and unusual entry. Somehow it seems well suited to Halloween.

I ran into the same bug some others here mentioned - for a time it seemingly allowed me to have multiple files on top of each other, but ultimately it made me lose a file which vanished as soon as the round started, which happened to made me just weak enough to lose the round. :(

Very nice game though, really like the audio & visuals & general mood, also the banter by the virus was really fun. With some adjustments and more (transparent) variety in the files it could become really quite addictive I think!

Interesting game, nice audio. The only thing that really annoyed me was that the Quit button was *right under* where the Next Round button was, so anytime I double clicked on the Next Round button it quit the game

@ruben-rosenmeyer Im glad lots of people are noticing the attention to detail, thank you so much! Yeah the late game doesnt have any player agency. We meant to have more stuff like picking the specializations of your files and swapping them around but we ran out of time. As it is, the end game entirely depends on what you set up earlier and lots of luck. It's possible to beat the last level though, i've seen it done.
