Project Minima by BlueDandelion
!!(Don't feel pressured to finish a level if it's too hard for you!!)!!
This is my second LD entry (and prolly the last one in Unity who knows).
You have been kidnapped by a bunch of weird scientists so they can do stupid experiments on you. They also may or may not have planted explosives inside of you which will blow up in a matter of seconds.
The only way to live is to reach the weird door at the end of each tiny claustrophobic level they created just for you. Complete all 15 levels to escape!
Controls:
- Move: A and D or arrows
- Jump: Spacebar or Z
- Dash: Shift or X
- WallJump press Jump key when touching a wall

The game fits the theme because each level takes place in a limited amount of space.
If you have trouble beating the last two levels you can try looking at the GIFs below, maybe it could help you.
Notes/Bugs: (!!!these are not all that important you don't have to read them!!!) - Music is quieter than the SFX, so if you don't hear it (in the Levels, not the Main Menu) you might have to turn the volume up a little - you can get stuck on the propeller arrows (very unlikely) - you can get stuck on the red tiles, idk why must be some unity physics bs (very unlikely)
Post-Production realisations: - I just realized that the game is missing one of the levels...

Change Log: Bug fixes: - Made the music louder, I think some ppl can't hear it - Fixed the resolution. - The game title is not on the main menu - fixed the moving obstacles moving up and to the right as time goes on
Others: - The game fits the theme because each level takes place in a limited amount of space. - If you have trouble beating the last two levels you can try looking at the GIFs below, maybe it could help you.

Great count of level!

I gave up on this stage, the wall jumps are a little too tight and the hitboxes are quite punishing.
Visuals are cute, and I like the squishy character. Good job overall!
I will know next time to make easier levels.
The graphics were cute and the sound very cool!
Edit: I fixed the screen resolution
Congrats!
I love the floating hair of the hero, the weird-looking NPCs (we understand they are scientists even if they really look weird) and their depressed dialogues.
I'm not sure, but the mines which move in a round seemed bugged. I saw one of them moving slightly out of its initial paths. It was as if the center of the path circle suddendly changed, while the position of the mine did not change. I tried to reproduce the bug but couldn't do it. Sorry.
A nice and convenient detail: the "periodic" spikes are correctly configured, so that at the start of a level, you do not have to wait for them to disappear. It's really important, because we want to retry as fast as possible just after dying.
I didn't see how the theme is supposed to fit in the game, but that's not a real problem.
It seems quite impossible to get past it

@recher I'm sorry to hear that it was too hard for you, I assume you weren't quite able to beat it.
I had fixed the bug where the mines which move in a circle change paths just before you played. I even checked it myself and it was all fine. I can't figure out what could have happened in your game, are you sure it wasn't just an illusion?
The theme does fit in the game.
Each level takes space in a very small area.
Basically I gave myself a "limited space" to create each level (that space being the camera FOV).
@danial-jumagaliyev Yeah unfortunately that section is too hard for a lot of people. You have to be fast and precise. I myself have no big issue dealing with it but I guess I'm just more experienced (you can see me beating it in one of the GIFs)
Regardless you made it to the second to last level so you got really far. All you really missed was the gravity inverter.
It may have been an illusion. I'm absolutely not sure there was a bug. Let's assume that if I'm the only one to mention it, then there is no bug.
"Maybe it’s a problem that’s caused by Unity not working with pixels in 2D?" Uh.. I have no idea, Unity works really well with 2D pixel art pretty much all the time
And for the Unity & 2D thingy, it's just that Unity afaik uses 3D with orthogonal projection for their 2D, and that could potentially lead to rounding problems when projecting from 3D to 2D. But you're right, it should not have such a big effect. I'm just glad that you were able to fix the problem

Yes the game is somewhat buggy, the falling through the map one was especially baffling to discover, but from what I can gather it's a really rare one so it's not that big of a deal.
I should also mention that while I did beat the game, I couldn't beat that one "final challenge" level
Anyways, I'm glad that you really enjoyed it a lot!
In the end, I was also just struggling on the left-right-left upward jump section other folks pointed out before abandoning my attempts. Can't seem to get the timing and direction down for that, and ultimately this was where my enjoyment got overshadowed by frustration a bit.
The circle wipe is a fun vibe, but with the quick succession of deaths in this last level I played, it started to add to the frustration.
Though, great entry with a Celeste/SMB mood. Really cool
