The how to play art is so wholesome and cute, I had to giggle multiple times, hehe!
For the gameplay, I love the concept of the floating window.
Good Job!

It's funny I have a home project with a very similar concept using the window, a bit like you did. Very nice to see people having good ideas ;)
The art is nice, and so is the music!

Hope you had fun making it. Also, I always appreciate when people don't use mainstream engines.
I love the humor of the how to play menu point
I beat the alien king and that was realy nice, thank you for this game!
A special reward for the interesting and innovating take of the theme, weel done!
Great work!
I couldn't tell if i was at a disadvantage for playing on a 4k screen lmao
When you ran out of fuel you are completely defenseless and all you can do is just die. Probably leaving movement ability without boost whould help. And sounds would bring a lot to the game.
Nontheless, great job!

Very cool concept, I have never seen a game that works like this before.
The movement felt good and responsive and it was fun to bash through enemies - although the endboss seemed to die way too fast. I spawned and 1 second later it was dead. Would've loved some more there.
The music was engaging, but chill enough to not stress me out too much and the graphics were clear.
I also really liked the tutorial. Most of the time I hate text based info-dumps, but this felt cute and quirky and it worked. I never saw a golden apple tho. Maybe that would've appeared in the boss level if I didn't dunk on it?
Overall a super solid entry with the mechanic of the screen-shifting elevating it to the next level. Super cool. Hope y'all had a fun jam and didn't overwork yourself too much <3
the golden heart powerup is a very rare powerup to spawn, it has like a 5% chance to be chosen when a powerup is spawned
and we almost ran out of time to make the boss, so he is basically just a reworked ranged enemy, meaning he dies in 1 hit XD
the hud won't be visible if you play in fullscreen...
Thanks for the game!✨

The portion of window moving around the screen gave me a wow moment. I really love that idea. The gameplay is a bit unforgiving though. It happened to me to move around the screen quite a lot without finding any fuel.. it can get frustrating
Real nice entry! And it's cool to see someone using Lime (I guess you actually used HaxeFlixel which is using Lime for rendering). I used to contribute to that years ago.
Love the idea with the game screen moving around my laptop screen, it was so cool and inventive!
Gameplay felt a bit hard in the beginning, but slowly adjusting to the game, I started moving more freely. However, there was a spot in the lower right part of my laptop screen, where my character would just freeze in place and refuse to move, not sure where this bug comes from :(
I'd say it happened twice in that spot, but then also happened once in another, so might be connected to something else, not the specific spot.
Anyway, it was pretty fun as it was still challenging but as I figured out the movement & enemy patterns I did beat the game and enjoyed it! The final boss looked super cool, by the way, very grotesque, and overall I have to mention I loved the graphics! And little tips on enemy patterns, like the green thingies swirling before shooting, were quite helpful ^^
Edit: only it seems to beat final lvl I just had to beat the little enemies or slam into the boss certain amount of time? the victory seemed a bit sudden to me, so in future some personal movement/patterns could be added to the boss and then the animated effect of him being defeated?
was writing down my impressions in between levels :)
