Great cozy game! Although the gameplay is very simple, it is very thought-provoking.
At first I thought it was a game similar to Lianliankan, but later I realized that you just need to follow your own intuition.
But sometimes things don't go as planned, and what you want to forget is different from what you have the time to forget.
And in the end, I chose to resign myself to my fate and watch the remaining memories being gradually forgotten...
Thank you for giving me some time to think.

A deepgoing interpretation of a simple concept.

And cozy music.

I did a similar activity in my psychology class at school, it will be better if the gap between disappearing gets longer. Sweet one

The point of brain space was pretty refreshing.

Great idea and story telling! A great, cozy and accessible manifestation of a profound thought.

Memory is our unique treasure. Seeing each word, I think of those memories. When they disappear, it really makes me feel sad, as if I have never existed in this world. Great game, I like it.

40 seconds is a bit of a big ask haha. Also i couldn't change the resolution or window size at all? on 4k it was a bit hard to read anything. I like the idea! Very novel

@darzu Thank you for your suggestion! I actually haven't thought much about resolution until now. I'll certainly keep in mind that a lot of folks don't use 1920x1080 any more.

Quite a mooving game. Loved the music and the overall atmosphere! :) Since I really love idle games, the experience was really cozy to me, got a cup of coffee and enjoyed the vibe while feeling really sad for the good memories that were gone. Really nice! :) Congrats for the entry.

Simple, yet very deep and beautiful entry. The music was to the point and it was building the melancholy at the desired levels! Very good job my friend!

The game duration is a bit long that when I understood the theme then I quickly get bored, maybe we need some more performance for the fading of memories. The scene that all memories stay in line is moving and the audio is tranquilant though, still a good work!

@light153709 Good suggestion! The game could definitely use some more polish. Unfortunately I only had a few hours of free time during those three days and had to toss away a number of ideas :(

This game is incredibly moving, despite its brief duration of only 40 seconds. It manages to convey such genuine emotions that resonate deeply in my heart, nice work:)

I like the feeling of how you can choose what to loose but at the same time you can't, cuz sometime it fades out faster than you predict, absolutely great way of manipulate the theme, Great Job!

Perhaps my version was broken since the game never seemed to end, I was just stuck in an infinite loop of selecting things to hold onto. Also the grey was a little hard to see or notice once it had faded out. Was I choosing what to hold onto via getting rid of "bad memories" or choosing what to keep by fading them out? Some clarification could have gone a long way but I guess once the game ends it probably would have told me. Still a very interesting take on the them.

It's a unique and really impactful interactive experience. The most meaningful entry I've seen, that's a clever use of the theme. I think it could be even more impactful if you managed to add some kind of mechanics that would add consequences to the choices we make, but that's not easy to do, let alone in 3 days!

@rend Thank you for playing! There are actually (a little bit of) consequences to the choices we make, with three ending scenes based on what memories were left at the end: sunny, cloudy or darkness. It could definitely use more polish in that (and a lot other) aspect though!

I think this game is really sucessfull when it comes to passing the desired message and feelings. For some reason, made me rememeber of
常记溪亭日暮,沉醉不知归路。兴尽晚回舟,误入藕花深处。争渡,争渡,惊起一滩鸥鹭。

great concept! It was very creative and emotional. With a little polish on the gameplay, I think this could be a great game. well done!

A very somber, bittersweet game. I've seen two of my grandparents suffer from dementia in the months before they died, and that made this game feel even more impactful. There's not much to it in terms of gameplay or graphics, but there doesn't need to be.
