Typo in the first help text: says moves start on beat 1 or 6, should be 1 or 4, I think?
I like the feeling of limited space, I was definitely always bumping into things or working hard not to =).
My second attempt I got a score of 35. I had to concentrate _really_ hard to keep track of which way was "forward", and generally just tried to keep forward being toward the top of the screen, as that made it much easier. Despite that, I seem to have gotten turned around a couple times, it seemed like I did something marked with a left arrow, and then one marked with a right arrow, and I ended up 180 degrees rotated. I don't remember which ones, so maybe was just confused, but I really thought I should have ended up facing a different way.
On that note, I think it maybe would have been much easier to control if the camera rotated so you were always facing forward, so the arrow icons lined up with the board. Or, for a twist, maybe the camera from the partner's perspective and getting spun around could be awfully disorienting, but fun =).
* Yeah, it may be that having the camera rotate so your view is always over-the-shoulder would have been more correct/less confusing.
* It's definitely a losing strategy to always press whichever move gives the most twinkles; my *intent* was that just like in real dancing, the right move is to sometimes do a simple box or rotation (or just hesitate) to buy time and set up your next step.
The "fires" were too unpredictable, so I decided to just ignore them.
Would have been be fun to play some levels with some faster waltzes as well!
I think this game encapsulates the subtlety and sophistication of waltz quite well. And despite the scarcity of visual feedback and my quasi-constant loss of points, I had quite a lot of fun feeling like an impostor waltzer  and it felt extra good to finally managed to do something with those steps :joy:
Also, I loved the intro text!
Thanks for the game!
