The Legend of L0nk: Tears of Encumbrance by tomrijnbeek
It's dangerous to go alone, take this (but also don't take too much stuff because your inventory is limited).
Legend of L0nk: Tears of Encumbrance is a dungeon crawler, turn based RPG about not taking every shiny item you encounter in a dungeon. Take control of L0nk, a character conspicuously similar to one you might've seen in a Japanese game company's intellectual property, and see if you can get out of the dungeon carrying the biggest amount of stuff without dying!
All you need to play the game is a mouse. Click the items to use them. There's an in game tutorial, but in case you are a button masher you can choose not to pickup items by dropping them in the bin that's on the upper right corner. Would a button masher read this? Probably not, but worth mentioning anyway.

Btw the music volume is really really low
Finally the hero got his revenge by killing the beholder that killed his parents. (With his bare fist - should have kept the swords :D)
A little bit of honest review:
- I loved the visual style and art of the game, great job!
- Font was a bit hard to read, can use +1 pixel in both directions for the symbols
- Music is nice and very fitting, a bit of SFX would be a great addition
- Gameplay is simple and straight in a good way
- What was really missing for me is an option to rearrange stuff before picking-up something new
- The dialogs and texts, man! Beautiful meta humour, loved every line!
Overall: 10 out of 5, great entry! :)
But we hear the feedback loud and clear. Not being able to discard items you already picked up is an intended mechanic, but we could have done better communicating it (and with the multiple levels we had planned, would have been a mechanic we could've eased the player into more). We've added a section on this page clarifying it, and in future games we'll definitely improve our messaging. Thanks for the feedback!
@fernandabatista Yeah, web browsers don't always like audio players, so that's unfortunate it didn't work. Glad you still enjoyed it though!
- Text was really hard for me to read. Maybe I'm just getting old
- Would have liked the option to re-arrange, I couldn't pick up the crown :frowning2: Since it sounds like this was intended, it would be nice to have this better explained in the tutorial
- More sound effects around selecting/moving items
@dsk Thanks for the compliments! I did pixel art and the bad jokes, so I really appreciate it :v:
