MoveMasters Limited by WilloXs
Welcome at MoveMasters Limited
You're the new guy at our company. We organize all our clients' needs and wishes regarding their move into a new apartment. Your first job involves a challenging customer, a flat that's way to small, and tons and tons of furniture. It is up to you to organize this mess!

Gameplay:
Try to satisfy the customer's increasingly doubious demands. Place the furniture into the apartment by dragging and dropping it from the inventory. You can delete unwanted stuff by right clicking it. You can (and should!) scroll the inventory and growing list of demands by using the mousewheel over either the one or the other.

Developement:
I wanted to use this jam to get more familiar with Godot. But after the first day i realized that time would be to short to catch up with all the necessary fundamentals of the editor - so i switched to good old gamemaker.
All the sprites were drawn during the jam in aseprite, and all sounds and music with bosca ceoil.

Hints (Spoilers):
Many objects can fill multiple roles. Use that to your advantage.
Demands like "i don't want to look at x from y" mean that there should be a view blocking object between the two. Bigger objects like the wardrobe etc. have this view-blocking property.
The gaming chair. I hope that given the lack of real gaming chairs you will figure out the (stupid) solution: Place the toilet next to the pc.

Also the game is very intuitive. The ui is very nice and not confusing at all, which really adds up to the experience !
@margoovian That sucks to hear. I guess you didnt have a screenshot for me to figure things out? Or perhaps your screen resolution/setup?
@gorglomux @okshirl Yes, the password game was part of the inspiration. It's the first time i really had time for some sort of tutorial/instruction part for any of my jam games so there is of course way to improve - but im glad that it overall seems to be well received. Funnily i removed some of the hints at later demands as i thought they really disturbed the gameflow. For example with the sightlines - they just check a direct line and i think part of the fun is figuring those out.
@c42 @somewan I have a section on hints above, where you can look if you're getting stuck. Essentially the gaming chair is a mean puzzle as you should place the toilet next to the pc. Now i get that many people probably think it's just a bug... Mhh - perhaps better communicating that.
But anyway - thanks for playing everybody.
No it‘s ok - the feedback makes it pretty clear that the gaming chair puzzle was a bit too weird. As for the rotation suggestion that would of course be great but requires double the number of spritework for just asthetics. Not feasible during the limited time i think.
thanks for the feedback
Also I've used bookcases to hide the toilet.
"Wall" might be a good addition to the game :smile_cat:
Nice entry!
The toilet = gamer chair was obtuse too, the only reason I got it is that I briefly spotted that hint on the game description.
I did also wish that the prompts scrolled to the new one when they appear. Reason being was that I had placed a bookshelf next to the toiled, counting for a prompt that I didn't realize spawned. Later on, I thought I was done, but was confused as to why the game didn't end. Scrolling up I saw a red prompt and upon reading it got confused as to why a "new" prompt spawned in the middle of the list.
*shrug*

That was great fun! No spoilers in my screenshot :)

I enjoyed it a lot... well done
Could not finish my first run as as didn't understand what the last prompt mean but got it on the second one.
Great game!
@hawkin Thanks for beating it! And even choosing it for the appreciation post - that's very nice.
@shiny-elster I'm happy you felt that the music was fitting - there wasn't any feedback on audio yet.
