But I could not complete the game, maybe there is something that I did not quite understand but I am stuck.
The first "tutorial" levels are a great level progression, but the first big level just lost me. After quite a lot of tries I always end up on the top left platform (the one with the 2 bonuses) and one jump left and no ability on me.
Based on the screenshot on the page I think there is more levels in the game but I could not play them.
Overall the game was fun to play, I really liked the abilities and the mood was good. Good job !
Thank you for playing out game!
You sometimes don't need to jump when you have the dash teleportation or the floating power-up. Sometimes you just have to walk off the platform and activate them mid air, or in the case of the dash you can do it on the ground to cross smaller gaps.
Keep up the good work.
On the first level with the keys, if you are walking against the door while it is opening, fall down and release movement in the air, the player character gets stuck on the ice. Trying to move does nothing and the only way to get out is by wasting a jump. This also happens in the post-ludum version.
I wish there was a way to look at what the powerups did during gameplay, maybe a reminder in a pause menu or maybe the powerup icons could be more descriptive, like a sprite of a character dashing for the red one or a character t-posing for the yellow one.
The graphics are nice, I like the purple lanterns. Colour palette is very pretty!
I couldn't really figure out the yellow power-up. Took me several tries to realize how to actually activate it (I thought it is automatic and I should like, use space bit later, in the air) and figured to click on its picture in the corner! Then still fell to my death going to the purple (portal?) ;_; You really have to get the timing right I guess?
Jumping felt hard sometimes, like it wouldn't work at all(?) or just felt clunky to use. Couldn't really get far unfortunately, did like 20 tries on yellow orb room but couldn't do it >_<
Thanks for playing our game!
For any orb that isn't the purple one you can use by clicking anywhere (I kinda forgot to mention it with the yellow so sorry about that).
You have to walk off and than click and in the end jump into the portal.
Yeah we also felt that jumps sometimes didn't register it may be a hitbox issue but I'm going to check it out and upload a new version soon.
Yes!! I really struggled in this room as well. IMO the hard part was that each of the other rooms so far had been a simple task along the lines of "do the thing I tell you in the most obvious way possible". When I got to the yellow power-up room, my "puzzle brain" hadn't been activated yet, so I didn't look for a puzzle solution.
Adding to this... the jumps, even starting from the first room, had felt pretty tight and difficult. For this reason, when I got to the yellow power-up room, I just assumed (for my first dozen tries or so) that it was just a really tight platforming challenge.
All that aside, I enjoyed the game! As others have said, the color choices here are wonderful, and you managed to get some inventive and well-implemented power-ups in the time allotted!
