One thing I had troubles with was knowing if my attacks were doing anything. Not sure of too much else that was going on, eventually my weapons stopped working for some reason. And wasn't sure what the spells were. Second, I tied the players health to equipment. When you are hit, you lose a piece of equipment and its functionality.
