I think it is bugged at level 4, I can't place the last piece on each attempts, the rat just jumps around. But good idea and implementation

@lorddaniel the win/lose screens are bugged xD. If the mouse jumps around, it means that it has escaped. The level should restart after that :D

An aesthetically polished puzzle game, the way the mouse moved felt a bit random, wasn't always sure how it would respond when placing the pieces down in the later levels so a lot of trial and error involved but great job overall.

Got to level 6 before I gave up. Was fun and fit the theme well. Seemed like the rat had repeatable behaviour but I wasn't sure what it would do on each level so I had to figure that out before I could solve it. Perhaps a directional indicator of some kind could have helped a lot?

The music really hyped me up, and I enjoyed the rat moving to the beat :) since the first few levels are short, I think the tune should have kept playing instead of restarted.

Amazing entry, although I couldn't pass level 4 (i'm too tired for this).
It's really polished, the transitions, the rat animation and bouncing around when it escapes, the music and sounds - everything is top notch, you can release it immediately :)

Very cute puzzle game, the graphics are astonishingly good, a way to display the mouse next movement would have been lovely !

Absolutely amazing!!! The rat is really well animated and with so much character! Its also so hateable, in a good way, for acting in a clever way :D The music is catchy, the puzzles hard enough so its fun and its overall well balanced. Probably my favourite game so far in this jam, I really hope it does well.

Really good entry! I got to beat all ten levels too! Because you can't always guess where the rat might move, there's a bit of guessing and trial and error to gameplay. Which wasn't too bad, but I did complete a few levels by luck. Still had fun playing this, and really liked the music and graphics. (Cute!!!)

@fusionnist Thanks for playing! The rat always makes the best moves to survive as long as possible - so you have to think a couple of moves in advance (like finding a checkmate in a game of chess)

@markais I did notice that- darn that rat! It's smarter than me! I assume as the developer you had a way clearer approach to visualizing it. Maybe I'd get the hang of it too, after a while :D

Super challenging and with some charm and polish as well, overall super enjoyed this, It was frustrating that I couldn't anticipate the rats movement, spent maybe an hour to complete this! Good job​

really fun and charming game!!! the rat is definitely smarter than i am. it feels like chess for sure. My only nitpick is that the music changes are a bit abrupt, I kept on wanting to hear the theme play on because it got really catchy and fun, but when I finished the level it would play it back to the beginning. Overall amazing though, and the graphics and tutorial level are all gorgeous + very much appreciated >:)

Really enjoyed playing through these puzzles. I think there is a pretty good build up of difficulty, with the final puzzle reach a fitting pinnacle of complexity. Great job constructing these puzzles and making the rat smart enough to avoid obvious situations it could lose.

Amazing game, very hard pazzles, loved the art, hate the rat, stuck on the 9th level.
