Each inch of the monitor is a precious asset. A streamer can only spare so much for the gameplay.

A game unfortunately not made for Ludum Dare 54 Compo.

The idea was to take a simple, derivative, unoriginal, trite, and ultimately creatively bankrupt "small" game, and progressively make it as annoying to play as possible though occupation of limited screen space by streamer overlays. The final Jam build though has remained largely playable ~~despite all efforts~~ because I didn't have the time to implement many of my more egregious ideas on how to get the entire screen covered up constantly in trash. Enjoy your 2048 for now, I guess.

What was most innovative to me is how audio, pause and full screen is handled (streaming controls bottom). It would maybe be funny to add some other events, like when someone subscribes game controls invert or something like that

I wish I could play the version with the screen constantly covered in trash! What were some of your more egregious ideas?

I really liked the vibe of the game, but to be honest, it' just an easier 2048 (because of the bombs). You did exactly what you set out to do, and did it well, but i would have loved to see a bit more originality in the actual gameplay :heart:

@orangeoceans Verbose red superchats, guests, distracting tangents and sound effects, or niconico-style scrolling comments and surveys, for a few off the top. Just more of the usual cliches, really. For things that would more or less cover the whole board, I wanted to make it so that the player can try to drag some of these overlays away one by one temporarily using the mouse while playing the game on the keyboard at the same time. It would be suffering, and it would've been great.

I'm legitimately annoyed that we didn't think of this ourselves, but if we're gonna get beaten on concept I'm glad it's by you. It's perfect in its simplicity. The only way it could be better is if it got even more unplayable. I want it to physically disconnect my ethernet cable. I want it to set fire to my car.

The girl is cute as fuck.

@chitoyuu niconico comments would be such a great addition. I can imagine a flood of them blocking the screen whenever you merge a big number, wasting your time limit.

@sleepymenace Thanks for playing. I'm glad you liked her! Truth to be told, I probably spent too much time on drawing her sprite, time which *could have been* spent making the game more unplayable, but I guess it paid off. Perhaps. I'm not super active on Discord, but I like the kind of content your team makes too, and would love to see if there's something we can do together if circumstances permit, so I've sent a request your way!

The unexpected approach to the topic is really impressive. While the gameplay itself may be traditional, the theme is quite innovative.

As a true Vtuber Gachi wwwwwīŧŒ I'm attracted by the concept, but I think the realization of the concept can be more profound. ex. Vtuber can get superchat when she plays well (determined by how many space left in 2048 game)

Very cute game! 2048 is actually a really good game for this theme, I'm surprised I haven't seen more variants of it. The art and presentation was super cute! I loved how the video player details actually functioned and acted as really good menu/audio controls setup. Great job!
