Only got 24/40. Pretty neat puzzle. I kind of wish there was a way to move multiple people at once, e.g. to fulfill the "humans have to be the most in the room" by moving two humans at once to a room. Other than that, the art and music were nice. Good game!

Great idea and solid execution! I like how difficult it is with the constraints given (I couldn't get above a 26 after a few attempts), and this really ties in well with the theme of the jam. Great work on the puzzle design!

@ordineu Yeah, it's a valid point.

I decided to simplify the movement of creatures as much as possible to better fit the theme. When you have to shuffle or empty rooms just to move one human, you really feel the limitation of space.

Very interesting puzzle! I got 30/40 but I honestly have no idea how to get a better score. I'll keep trying :)

31/40! Fun puzzle game :D really enjoyed it. I did encounter a bug at round 29 I think? Tried to drag someone from a floor near the top to a floor near the bottom, so I had to scroll while dragging, but that somehow glitched the character and also the rooms I think. Could've maybe gotten 32 if that didn't happen lol.

Really well done game, good stuff!

edit: 33/40 now :D but no idea if I can do any better

Really nice vibe - love the bobbing pixel art and nice music. The puzzle took me a while to get my head around eg. the description of the dwarf is confusing ("Only dwarves can live below other dwarves" might be clearer) and I couldn't work out why I couldn't buy certain rooms (they had to connect!). But I think there's the making of a nice fantasy cosy game here. Good job!

@frib Thank you!

I will look into it, it may be a problem with the grid scrolling.

33 / 40 is a pretty high result, it's one of the best. You definitely can't get 40 / 40 :) The economy is designed to force you to eject someone.

@tobiasd thank you.
I'll think about adding more tutorial windows to clear these situations.

Nice game! I got to 31, but I made a mistake towards the end, so perhaps I could've gotten higher. I tried a few more times but I can't figure out a way to make it to 40, if it's even possible.

Pretty fun, and well-designed. I can see how someone could improve their score over a few games. Maybe this was just on my end, though, but the clicking and dragging was a little jittery, and it often took a few tries to get a character from one spot to another.

31/40. love the aesthetic, music, sfx, and overall vibes!! i'm wondering what the highest possible score is, since it seems like a perfect score is impossible? also, i would have loved a restart or undo button

@benisu My maximum with the current version is 34 / 40.

I got 35 during the development process, but after that, there were a lot of balance fixes. I'm not sure that this is still possible.

Cool game. I think an intro level would be nice Maybe I missed it, but it wasn't clear if there was any other penalty for sending the person away, beyond them not netting you any gold.

Got to 27/40, and couldnt get better :D For how simple this was, I enjoyed replaying it a few times. Its a shame that there arent more maps, especially with bigger rooms so the human passive could get more interesting.
A great game ^^

Definitely impossible to get 40/40, but incredibly addictive. I could see myself playing something like this on my phone regularly, it works great as a nice quick-session pick-up-and-play puzzle game

I tried several times, but I couldn't get more than 30… Until I came here and see in the comments that we can move creatures from a room to another - this changes everything! Well, at least this allows me to go to 32 max.
As everything else is good, I therefore suggest only to mention in description the not-so-obvious-as-it-seems : creatures can be moved between rooms :sweat_smile:
Well done!

30 out of 40 creatures! Nice idea, I almost made one about a hotel that had quite similar rules! Things like 'wants a room facing West' or 'doesn't want neighbours on its sides' and such. Yours was a great implentation! Also, really good music! Nice entry.

There more you play the more addicting this gets. Though I was confused in the first playthrough that throwing characters away rewards you with gold too, I had the aha moment at the end of it. Nice entry to the jam

32/40. Super neat little puzzle game, I really enjoyed it. I definitely wish there were more large rooms/the options to move multiples at once given the human rules, it made it pretty hard to have them anywhere but with each other or alone. I also think Dwarves were waaay hard since most others had 1 restriction and they essentially had 2 (no elves, nothing but dwarves below them) but continually moving them was a great challenge.

Interesting game. Managed 29 out of 40. Good use of the art assets -- the ones you've picked work well together. Good music too -- suitably medieval. Well done.

I swear I tried to save everyone, and not a few times lol. This game is incredible, a very well done puzzle, good soundtrack, arts, mechanics, it's challenging and makes you rack your brains in search of a solution. One of the best I've played, congratulations!
