Cool stuff. Fun game with an epic ending =D Quite good for your first PICO-8 and in compo as well. The smoke and blood particles look neat. Managed to beat it on the second try. Those speedy breakers are a bit hard to catch unless they get stuck at the edges. I think it would help if the catch range was just slightly bigger. Other than that the game is really enjoyable. Very nice work!

I am a beach cop sign! I don't make the rules, I brutally enforce them.
Fun little game and cool idea. Everything worked fine for me, it's really hard to catch the fast baddies.

The fact that the game points to the rulebreakers once time starts running out is really great design. Awesome entry!

I love PICO games! Really good game, the map is huge! The art works well, but I think I would have rather been a regular cop or a cop car. I didn't really get the "sign" part other than for humor and the hit detection on those runners was something else. Overall really good, but no music D:

I had to go back to the description of the game because I didn't understand the basics... it deserved a little more description but it was fun

Nice little game, with an unexpected ending  I didn't really understand why sudenly the game tells me where rulebreakers are midway through the day, it did make things easier but I felt like it undermined the game's point of looking for red pants, puffs of smoke and litterers. Just an idea but it would have been fun if the rules changed during the day as well. Neat entry!

Greate entry, especially if it's your first with PICO-8 !
It was really fun to follow the running guys, and trying to follow their unexpected change of direction
I feel like the hitbox is not really fair sometimes, as you need to almost overlap your target to catch them, and it can be a little bit frustrating to miss, maybe it can be upgraded by buffering the action or something
Other that that, solid entry, and welcome to the pico gang

Cool little game, but the controls are really unforgiving. Took a few tries to complete.

Once in a while, beating smokers and garbage dumpers is needed. That was fun doing that.
Took couple seconds to understand what I'm supposed to do until I noticed some things and understood.
I survived the day but not the night though. I guess I could do nothing against trespassers there.

10/10 protagonist, would be a beach cop sign again.

Anyway, really nice game! I loved the concept & humor, and it was surprisingly hard: it took me three tries to complete it - mostly because of the sheer chaos of the beach - but it was fun nonetheless. And the night shift was a very unexpected twist! Actually creeped me out a bit. I didn't notice the red markers once the timer reached the halfway point at first, and the lack of a score display during a game over made it hard to know how close I was to winning, but otherwise, great entry!

Fun unique idea, I love the use of pico 8! its hilarious playing as the sign getting revenge at everyone for ignoring it.
