Relics by Monado

made by Monado for Ludum Dare 54 (JAM)

A robotics facility in the distant future lay in ruin; machines broken and littering the facility while nature slowly envelops the structure. After centuries of inactivity and humanity long extinct, the facility once again regains power. A lone Android is able to reboot from the power surge, and while her memory backup seems to have been lost, she makes her way out of the facility to the surface above.

Relics is a puzzle/platformer where you play the role of this lonely Android making her way out of the facility. Different objects of all kinds litter the structure, and she can take them into her arms to help her progress! All kinds of items can be collected, from crates to stack on top of one another to reach higher places, to wind turbines to create a wind tunnel to propel objects, and even upgrades that change how the Android controls! The catch is, only 9 items can be carried at once, so be wise in what you pick up!

There is nice makeup in the game, and it seems you have spent much time on it. Sadly I had to give up around the part with scoop-like device.
The biggest issue is that main game mechanics, which is dropping and positioning stuff, is a chore that involves pressing the right buttons (too many buttons btw) and slowly guiding the objects in place. Paired with weird jump physics that is punishing if object is not perfectly positioned makes this main mechanics tedious. Actually solving the game takes more effort than what you would usually get from LD players.
The character, menus, and mood is quite ok. Floating on air flow is fun and adrenaline inducing.

Honestly had lots of playing! The art style is great. The movement is a bit floaty though and there are too many buttons. Otherwise great game!

I love the art style! Even if the physics is a little weird (I skip the first wall with a good jump), it was pretty fun!
I have little issue with the control because it was a little slow and I can't use every direction with control (control + W close my window so I have to restart), but it's no big deal :D

@stormsword Thank you! For some reason after I had built the project, the speed of moving the structures became way slower than it was before building. As well, I didn't realize the control key issues in the WebGL build until yesterday when I was playtesting the WebGL build, so I completely understand, I had accidentally closed the game on myself and had to restart. If I'm able to make fixes like that at this point I might just to make sure players don't accidentally close it
