Limited Space by Mitch Miller

[raw]
made by Mitch Miller for Ludum Dare 54 (JAM)

FULL SCREEN RECOMMENDED

As an associate of Space Ltd. you're off on your next expedition, however it appears there's a forcefield blocking your way, limiting space if you will... Shoot at (or crash into) the forcefield to destroy it giving you free reign of space once again.

Shooting and boosting consume your energy though so be sure to pick up some batteries which are conveniently floating around space. Watch out for mines though, they do what you might think they do. Oh yea, and burning up in the atmosphere is a thing too. Be careful out there!

Controls

Pitch/Yaw/Roll - Left Stick / WASD

Barrel Rolls - Shoulder Buttons / QE

Boost - East Button / Right Click

Shoot - South Button / Left Click

Nice game! 😃

I liked the 3D graphics, and the controls reminded me a bit of a flight sim.

Is there anything to do after you break the force field?

Cheers for giving it a play! Unfortunately no, nothing new to do after breaking the forcefield other than to roam as far as you want without crashing into invisible walls anymore :)

Fun idea, although I couldn't find anything to do after breaking the force field. Maybe if there were several consecutive force fields that you were trying to break out of?

At first I didn't understand what I needed to do. And then too. But after that I liked the game. (I really liked that there is an effect of entering the planet's atmosphere. 11 no man's skies out of 10) (✯◡✯)

The game looks and plays really cool! The first thing I tried to do was to enter the atmosphere and I was not dissapointed :D I also tried to fly to the Sun after breaking the forcefield, but guessed its just a background xD Its a shame there's nothing to do after breaking the forcefield, but still, really nice achievement for that short time! Great job!

Controls feel great. Gave that force field a piece of my mind before crashing into my own city! Good job on the entry!

@nevernox Funny you say that because the sun is actually a world object that technically could be reached; I'll save you the long journey though and tell you it's just a collisionless mesh far far away. Didn't think anyone would even consider that to be honest

Always feel dizzy when play 3d-advanture haha, but the control feels good~~Also surprised to find a game that ultilizes the theme in a cosmological meaning.

SPAAAAAAAAAACE!
Very cool! Turning felt a bit wonky, but other than that I had a blast. However.... is there anything after you break free?

Graphics were great. I'm not great a piloting games so I spent a lot of time spinning around. Neat concept though. I didn't read the rules at first so I was confused when I felt like I hit a wall. Then I read the rules haha.

I really like these graphics and the controls felt really great. Really nice explosion effects too. My only suggestion might be a cross-hare to ease the aiming.
