Cosmic Cargo Chaos by Surfa
Cosmic Cargo Choas
Being unemployed is great but sometimes you need to pay for stuff. Sucks I know. Luckily a role as a forklift operator has just opened up at Space Cargo Ltd..
Not sure what happened to the last guy but hey a jobs a job.
Use your 20 minute youtube certificate in forklift driving to handle cargo shipping and receiving in a busy cosmic port.
Pickup cargo from incoming ships and store it within the port. Sometimes ships will like to dump their trash. This can be yeeted out the airlock.
Cargo from the port might also need to be transferred to ships so keep an eye on your trusty clipboard.
You're still on probation so be careful if you slip up too many times you're out of here.
To win achieve a high score (7500) and get a perfect day. It can get quite cramped so use the airlock when required.
We recommend reading the tutorial through and changing your settings before playing. Also using the itch.io HTML build allows for full screen if some of the text is small on LD's website.

Nice idea and implementation. The voiceover felt right in place too
Tirando isso ta bem divertido, parabéns!
Really feels like being a forklift.
Well done!
I especially like the balance - just enough to be challenging, but doable. And even requires some strategy, such as dumping several big boxes in the airlock or shuttle in one day, to get only one strike and free up the cargo.
Minor issues in tutorial wording:
Tutorial says you should not dispose the cargo "not relevant to your current objective", while disposing all non-black cargo is penalised.
Also, it would be probably better to have the clipboard on screen at all times. It starts lowered, so I was confused of what to do with cargo for the first minute or too.
@frib I agree that the gameplay can become quite monotonous sometimes. I think its due to the random generation as it can make things too easy sometimes. Other times it can become incredibly frantic, which I feel is a lot more engaging and fun.
@baturinsky I've never played SS13 but I have seen quite a few videos in the past. I can see why it gives you those vibes! As for the tutorial, I threw it together in half an hour, and it was an hour before the deadline 😅 Definitely could have been worded better, but the gist of it is supposed to be that you will get a strike for disposing of cargo relevant to your current mission, but not other cargo or junk. You still lose wages for getting rid of other cargo though.
@tomknocker44 I like that it doesn't update, makes sure you're paying attention and not just playing on auto-pilot. I'm not sure if @surfa intended to make it update and just didn't get around to it. We didn't feel it was necessary for it to always be visible as you can see the objectives on the signs too.
On the second run it was much better, but ultimately I think I'll seek a career with a longer life expectancy... like a dropship pilot in the space marines.
Btw great name for the game, always happy to see more people appreciating alliterations.
