Limited Space:Animal by tengxi

made by tengxi for Ludum Dare 54 (JAM)

Animals is a looking down corner puzzle type game. In the game, players need to operate different animals separately to find water, ensuring that each animal can find water. Predators are aggressive, and players need to avoid encounters between predators and other animals in order to ensure that each animal can find water.

In the game map, there will be stones, rivers and rifts as obstacles. No animal could pass through the stone; Only crocodiles can cross the river; Only antelopes can pass through the rift. Players need to find the right route and avoid these obstacles. Enjoy the game!

Use the arrow keys on the keyboard: Move up, Down, Left, Right Switch animals: Press ‘Tab’; When all animals have reached the water source: Press ‘E’to enter the next level.

As a side note: I also made some changes to the HTML5 version after reading your feedback, and now the latest version should be available for online play

Sorry, I forgot to write the operation mode because I was nervous.
Use the arrow keys on the keyboard, move up, down, left, right, switch animals press tab, and finally press E to enter the next level when all animals have reached the water source. The buttons in the game are clicked with the left mouse button.

WebGL version doesn't seem to react to any key presses after I clicked on play button in game.
Windows version is working tho.
That was interesting! I would continue playing it if it had more levels.
Maybe with some traps/moving obstacles in the later levels? And maybe some more interactions between animals?

simplistic but very cute, nicely done concept and puzzles, although short, the aesthetic and visuals were really nice! would love to play a longer version :)

The web version doesn't work for me either, but using wine on ubuntu it is actually a pretty nice game.
And similar to our game :)

The game design actually looks quite nice, but sadly I can't play due to the input not working. Looks pretty similar to our game btw ;).

Yo, sweet lil game! Nice graphics and smooth gameplay! Maybe you could've added a time limit to make things feel more urgent!

would like to see the puzzles expanded, almost had too much space to deal with - nice idea

On the second level, when I click E in the blue figure, nothing happens. The enemy in the middle of the path also doesn't do anything, it's like an ornament. Anyway he's in the middle of the way, as I don't have any attacks I couldn't kill him.

Ho no, it was too short! I actually wanted to see how the different animals were going to interact in the next levels but didn't had the time to since I reached the end. Well, I guess it's better to leave player with a taste of "not enough" rather than "too much". Anyway, I think you could make a post jam version with more levels and still keep the levels refreshing. Good job!
