Next Station by Vinicius Veronese

In Next Station, you'll be tasked with arranging and positioning subway passengers before the door closes and time runs out. The game draws inspiration from our everyday life and experiences with the Brazilian public transportation system.

This marks our debut project developed using Godot, and we're thrilled to have taken part in Ludum Dare 54, pushing ourselves out of our comfort zone and learning so much along the way.

We hope you have a fantastic time enjoying our game! Best of luck, and we'll see you at the Next Station!

I got `043`!
I will say I didn't have to do much rotating, but with more complex and bigger pieces, I could see how that would be required.
Overall good job on the game!

A great little concept, but it is a bit hard to read the shape placement. Selecting the shapes already placed in the train was also a bit hit or miss.
I did a 3D game using Godot 4 as well. Give it a try! 💖

I tried drag'n'drop in the beginning and I though it was just buggy until I realized you click once to pickup and once to set down. As others have said it maybe was a little too easy to fit people in there, so maybe the train could be made much smaller.
With that in mind, the game has a lot going for it. The music is relaxing and feels like something that could play in a waiting area at the trainstation, haha. Graphics are simple, but that is just so fitting for the little blockpeople!
Overall I enjoyed the concept and would like to see the game again after some balancing - this could be a nice realxing puzzle game :3
I hope you enjoyed the jam and maybe you can give my game a try, if you like :)
Obviously like this idea ;) The graphics are quite nice, I loved the little ads about the Ludum Dare in the back.
I struggled a bit with the controls, sometimes the pieces are getting picked up right after placing them down. I feel like drag&dropping might have been easier and more instinctive.
Ideally I think the metro should be on the smaller side, I did not feel like I was struggling to fit people in, I was just limited by my APM. A smaller metro would probably highlight more the intricacies of the different shapes.
Good job overall!
Would have been good to add an incentive to choose a passenger other than the smallest one.
Around half the time I would immediately pick up a passenger I had just put down which was annoying.
other than that, it's a very fun game! i love the background track, and stacking everybody into the little railcar is very satisfying
Oh and also, great art style!
