About
Glitchstream is a rogue-like, first-person shooter made for Ludum Dare 54. Locked in a virtual room, fight hordes of enemies and survive as long as you can. Unlock doors to expand the playing field, and find new power-ups and weapons to help you survive.
Controls:
- WASD - Movement
- Spacebar - Jump
- E - Interact
- Left Mouse - Shoot
- Right Mouse - Aim-Down sights
- P - Toggle Pixelation
Known Issues:
- Occasionally when picking up a new weapon, the old weapon model doesn't get deleted.
- Sometimes interaction text will appear through walls, you can't interact through walls however
- Occasionally Interact will not work (look directly at the pickup and try moving back a bit)
- Rarely, chests can't be opened!
- When swapping weapons the animations will disappear for a second

Survived 10 minutes glitchless, is there a way to change the weapons ?
there is a bug where if you stand on chests enemies can't touch you
the mouse sensitivity is a bit high, would be cool if we could adjust it in game, also there is a bug where the sensitivity went up a lot for a certain period of time
The smg felt super nice, died when switched to shotgun because hard to deal with that much enemies with it
I loved the mood of the game, enemie spawning behind me was so scary since they don't make sound
Really cool experience !
The gun did not feel satisfying, and it would have been nice to have a break from the constant spawning enemies to look around and actually read the upgrades without being instantly murdered. Apparently I obtained one upgrade, no idea what it was though.
Most of the chests I saw required way too many coins to open.
- More feedback. This is always important. At its current state, the game has minimal visual and audio effects, and those are key to making a shooter game feel fun and fair. For example, there could have been sound effects for every time you hit an enemy and there could've been a central hit marker showing from which angle an enemy hit you.
- Fun Enemy AI. Instead of making the enemies spontaneously spawn and immediately start chasing you, make use of state machines and give the enemies more variety in behavior.
- Better level design. There's jumping in the game, but where are the platforms? Place around obstacles and platforms, this will make the game more fun!
