Loved this! Nice idea having to change your button mapping on the fly and the building block approach incorporated the theme very nicely. Loved the level design, graphics and audio as well. The inclusion of a speedrun mode was unexpected but I completely understand it :D

Only thing I would criticize is that sometimes you have to change your button layout a lot in a level and it can get a bit tedious when you die and have to rearrange everything every time. Other than that, I loved this.

I wasn't able to get the game to open. When I click on it the screen appears black and closes

@initialposition Really glad you liked it! Yeah, if I had time, I'd probably have implemented something to save your layout on death, and probably some way to move things faster around the graph. A "teleport to middle" button or a "return block to its original position" button. Dunno, gotta think about it!

This was fun. The game was polished nicely and the movement felt nice. The two issues I had was how tedious it was too move the button layouts around and secondly, I had trouble figuring out the button for each ability (granted I was on a keyboard).

@0megq Good to know! Yeah, keyboard was more of an afterthought and I didn't have time to add rebinding or instructions, which is unfortunate. Really glad you enjoyed it though!

Great implementation of the theme. Really liked the simple art style. Trying to figure out how to best activate 'abilities' was good fun. The music was simple and fit the style and vibe of the game pretty well!

There was one small thing I noticed. The landing sound sometimes was played multiple times (going up a slope by using the dash ability was the cause of this) :smile:

Wonderful game. Really unique and clever use of the theme, fantastic vibes and a good enough premise to carry a full game on if expanded!

It's such a cool game. With the core mechanic and the momentum based mechanics, it's such a good core, the possibilities are endless. I think I just feel that the linear levels could be more interesting.

I don't know what it is, but I feel like the death and restart to the start just felt annoying. It made me feel like there were checkpoints or something. I wouldn't mind a challenging game that forces you back to the start, but maybe its because restarting felt so slow, I have to wait for a few seconds and then move my blocks back to how I wanted it again. It messes with my flow a little bit.

Still, I really like the mechanics. Its amazing well done!

@agk Thank you so much! Yeah, I wanted to branch out into more non-linear levels after the 4 ability levels, but by the time I made the last one, there was an hour left. Maybe I'll go back to this sometime and add more levels!

The startup is a good point. The intent is for it to be a bit of time to reorganize the abilities. But in the speedrun modes, the startup doesn't even happen. Probably should have thought that part over.

Cool game, seems like all issues i have already been written, but in that short amount of time and lack of proper playtesting they felt minor and forgivable. Nice job!

Wow, I really like this game! Feels super polished, I am impressed! You've got great art style, animations, music and sound effects. Even the menu is smooth! I also really like the idea behind the gameplay mechanic, really interesting puzzles. I personally think it's got a lot of potential. It was a bit hard to get it at first (I was not playing with a controller) but when it clicked it was smooth sailing from there:) Awesome work!

Great idea for a main game mechanic! The puzzle layouts and ability to swap your control scheme during a level feels really unique and fits the theme perfectly. Excellent work on the pixel art and music, too! It all fits together really nicely.

I played 'BBD-MK0' and I found the idea of reconfiguring the buttons while trying to complete the levels very interesting. It added a special touch of strategy and adaptability! Sometimes I found myself laughing when I realized I had configured a button the wrong way and the consequence It was comical. The vibrant colors and music complement the game well. A great job!

Hey, I liked this. Adapting 'limited space' to fit into your ability selection screen was a great idea and lent itself to the gameplay nicely. Having a modular bot whose controls change is a very cool concept.
I think a little more explanation early on would be helpful - the first ability assignment screen was a little confusing with no clues about what exactly to do.

Movement felt great, and the art/music fit together to make a nice cohesive feeling. Good stuff, hope you keep going with it.
