The backgrounds, the characters, the items, everything looks very impressive. I could probably fill multiple paragraphs talking about the tiniest of details that I noticed, but I think I should provide some more critical feedback.\n\nThe gameplay is a bit bland. I like the limited inventory (and having to swap items out for the objective) but the core of the game, the turn based combat, doesn't really innovate on the formula. Having some randomness (like weapons that deal damage within a range, or the chance to miss) is nice, but I can't help but compare it to another turn based game such as Paper Mario, where damage dealt is skill based with \"action commands\" and timing. Speaking of Paper Mario, take a look at that game's badge system. I also found some similarities in \"divvying up badge-points\" to your game's inventory system, and I wonder how giving each item a \"weight\" could change things, instead of them all taking up exactly 1 slot.\n\nThat being said, I admire the ambition! It looks like you had plans for 3 whole missions, and I absolutely respect the scope of this game. I completely understand if you ran out of time, though having music and sounds would make this game so much better. Imagine a little \"Ah!\" from the goblin taking damage, or the vampire going \"Blehhh!!\" while attacking. Or little blips and bloops while selecting items.\n\nAnyway, this game absolutely has the best artwork of any compo game I've seen, and I think there's absolutely potential if you plan to expand on it.
