Fun fighting game! I like how the enemy backs up in the corner when almost losing.

For having just learned Godot, this is very impressive.

The graphics are VERY charming, including the idea of having the console right there to play with, hehe. Game play is kind of basic but the limitations go hand in hand with the simulated console. Fun stuff!

lol yeah I intended to make super basic game, cause I ALWAYS over-scope! Iam working on basically like a AAA FPS game by myself in Unity >,> its like ... 20% done maybe LOL...
so I have to try making super simple stuff LOL

This is funny. Controlled well and felt like a decent level of difficulty. Very good art for the Game Boy style. I have never been so conflicted on whether I wanted to win or lose.

I would have preferred to whoop on Elon Musk tbh, but this was a fun little game. Good choice minimizing the scope. The extra effort of putting the Gamejoy around the viewport was a nice touch for the mood. I found that if you back the little guy into the corner he stops trying to hurt you. :)

gave me some ptsd from when i actualy played this when i was a kid. though with this its always lit up :D the game was pretty fun, took me a few seconds to realize i couldnt attack because of stanima. was a quite fun little game. nice job

Nice job! It is cute and funny and stylish. I really like how you decided to use console here (kinda reminds me of how we used pc in our game now)). I would enjoy playing it more with other enemies as well

Solid game! the CPU is really unforgiving tho, they bash the A button as soon as you're in range :smile:

But they got stuck at the end though, resulting in my imminent victory!
Not that I'm a cheater, I'm just too good of a :crab:

Solid retro fighting game I love that the physical buttons actually work. Would be great if there was character select, and we got a chance to push musks face in.

Nice, the game was solid and works well. It was really satisfying to see Musk and Zuckerberg fighting. It could have been nice to select who to choose and who to fight but it was still good. I liked the retro feel, and the fact that there actually is a gameboy that works in the background.

This was fantastic! I really felt like I was punching Zuckerberg in the face. And I must say... it was satisfying! It's a lot of fun to nail the rythm and KO without getting hit.

Very solid entry, great job!

Hey, fun little fighting game, well done! It was a lot of fun to play. Just a quick remark, in my second round I was able to find a little bug abuse that trivializes the game. If you just very aggressively move forward and get both you and the enemy to stand in the same spot at the corner of the map, you can sometimes hit the enemy but the enemy cannot hit you anymore. So maybe a small collider or something similar on the enemy would be a good idea :)

Funny game indeed, simple concept which works fine on those handheld limitations. It has some bugs, but as this is not a game inteded to play more than once or twice and they are not gamebreaking it doesn't really matter.
The music doesn't fit the console unfortunately, not a deal breaker but something to optimize next time :grin:
Try Jummbox, its rather easy to create simple tracks yourself.

Had a good time with this one on stream! Definitely in the "meme" category, but not to a fault. The game was short and worth a chuckle, with cute Gameboy-esque graphics. Nice work!

@laserpanzerwal yeaaahh I couldnt figure out what is the right music maker program to use for a gameboy.. that didnt run on a gameboy.. thatd take too long for the ludumdare probably just to set it all up lol.. the install on gameboy and export or however that works..

The graphics are great, it felt like a brand new gameboy game, the frame was a surprising and exciting addition. It won all over the board in that sense, I love how it felt like a gameboy. I would have requested a character selection screen, but honestly I don't think I personally would root for either side! Cool game!
