There is some really fun gameplay in here in fighting about territory, winning back some height by using the upgrades efficiently etc. I had a hard time undestanding when i could jump though and since the upgrades are temporary i couldn't really gain any momentum against the corruption and mostly acted like a goalkeeper on the lower floors. Highscore 4685. Please everyone else post your scores! :D I want to know If i was any good.

I enjoyed this: it has a retro arcade game-like feel... not so much the style, but the gameplay which hooked me into playing a few rounds. The minimal style didn't entice me very much at first, but I appreciated it once the enemies started stacking! I found myself wanting to be more agile and have more control sometimes. It would be really satisfying to have a melee. GJ!

There are some good concepts here for sure, however it did not feel very well polished. The jumping in particular was very frustrating - it seems like a lot of the time your ground detection did not trigger and as a result I just couldn't jump even while mashing the up button on my keyboard. What I did like was the gameplay, hard to go wrong with an action shooter side-scroller, and I'll always upvote for fun action games. Kept me trying a few times, although it never got too hard. my high score was 3635 or something around there? I tried to go back and check mid-comment but it looks like the data got wiped so I wasn't able to.

Oh also fyi - it looks like the web build for this website isn't working, at least not for me. I had to go to itch.io to get it to work

@technonugget I was aware that the embed here doesn't work sometimes, although I thought it was just Firefox it was not working in. I just tried a couple other browsers and it doesn't seem to work at all, so I am just going to remove the embed.

There's definitely potential here, got a little frustrated from jumping as I felt that I had to jump with near-perfect timing to reach a higher platform and some times the jump input wasn't working. Still, a very nice game and congrats on the submission!

final score is 995 and its a solid arcade-feel entry, love it! I wonder if wall jump is inteneed because sometimes its very trick to performa and thus I lost some chances there. Anyway good job!

Interesting game. W felt really awkward to jump imo. Also, it seemed like there were times where it wouldn't allow me to jump? Not sure why.

Cool idea though, reminds me of the arcade Mario Bros game a bit.

I think the game have some potentials. It's actually easy since you can just stay on the bottom floors and spam the fire button. I "had" to search for the power ups to have a challenge.

It's a little buggy (can't jump on the lower left platform / was using wallsliding to make some jumps) but with a debug, some music and some 2D lights, it could be a far better game than it is now.

I would love this more if it had some timer / enemy count and more levels to play one. As for now, it is fine, but it'd be nice if you'd continue working on it !

Keep up the good work
