Very interesting! Trying out different combinations of abilities is a unique concept, and it works well! One problem I have is with the platforming physics. I think the jump and fall is too fast, and doesn't give you time to react in the air. I think it would be improved with a slightly slower/floatier jump. Other than that, this is a really neat entry!

@jack728 Yeah the jump was designed extra too feel hevy. It is still a robot. But thanks maybe there is a way to have this same feeling but make it easier to play.
@mushboom Thanks. I wanted to make more levels but you know.... Time

Elegant progressive introduction part for a platform game. Look forward to smoother jumping experience~
Seems there is a typo in shooting introduction, "left" mouse button instead of "right"?
Good job!

Very interesting platformer. Loved the abilities and artwork. My only complaint is I felt gravity was a little strong (although maybe if I just played more it would of felt natural). Congratulations on the game!

The concept of playing as R.O.B., a gold mining robot, is intriguing, blending traditional platforming with the unique twist of using Memory Chips to grant different abilities. This mechanic of limited space for inserting cards and choosing abilities is an innovative touch, adding layers of strategy to the gameplay. Although the game offers a compelling idea, there seem to be areas for improvement, such as refining certain physics aspects and making the jumping mechanic more fluid. Overall, 'Golden R.O.B.' is a promising game that showcases a lot of potentials, and I'm excited to see how it can evolve with more development!

Nice game! Movement was enjoyable and I liked the upgrade system. I liked the strong gravity for this game, it made the jumps more impactful and added some additional challenge, and the controls were tight.

I liked the combination of puzzle and platforming game! The grey background felt a little dull but the graphics for the rest of the sprites looked great. I think when choosing upgrades it would have been good to be able to see the level and your upgrades on the same screen - seeing your upgrades first without knowing anything about the level wasn't very helpful. The ending also seemed a little unnecessary, I didn't like that the game ended with a downer :(

I really liked the art style, especially the yellow outline around the character and other key objects! The music fits nicely as well. I had a good time making my way through the levels and switching out powerups when I reached a dead end!

I agree with other commenters that the jump is too fast. I can understand wanting to give the robot character a feeling of weight, but maybe this would be better achieved through anticipation animations, low-pitch sound effects on jump, particle effects on hitting the ground, etc. I believe you can achieve a feeling of weight and still make the character control tightly!

Another point of feedback: I like the powerup icons, but I would sometimes forget which was which when I had to select them. Maybe revisit the icons to make them more clearly delineated, or label each with a tooltip when you hover over them.

That all said, I had a fun time with the game! Cheers

Quite good, I feel this was a good solution to the theme, I thought the controls worked very well, the level layout was very well made too, with every next level as a tutorial of sorts. On notes: adding backgrounds could improve the mood of the levels, particularly paired with the characters background.

This jump was HEAVY AF! As someone who struggles with platformers I would have liked a little more time to react to stuff. Honestly though the levels were small enough that I started to get the hang of it.

I didn't understand at first that I needed to equip one of the powers but I like the idea of swapping them around and it was cool to be able to see the level and plan ahead.

Cool concept of choosing your tool for the job after trial and error!

a very interesting game idea.
Tricky but fun :) (the last level is only possible because some spikes don't hurt)

Great art! Maybe it could be more interesting if you have to chose your abilities having already an idea of the level you have to run, because in each level I've had to chose abilities without knowing if they could work or not. Or maybe you could design in each level the possibility to finish it with every abilities' combo. Hope you could recive enough ratings!!!! :)

Fun platformer! I enjoyed the variety of being able to choose different abilities and combinations and some levels allowing more than one way to clear. Music was fun! Great job!
