Ludum Dare Solid: Limited Space Action by Daniel Grinshpon

The mission is critical. The compound was designed by Silvester Palicini, an eccentric claustrophile. He made each section of his base get progressively smaller. You'll have to sneak in and take him out. This mission is of the upmost importance, so you have to be extremely careful. If you get spotted, even once, it's game over and you have to take your suicide pill.
Good luck, Lizard. We're all counting on you.

A clever take on the theme!
I managed to finish the game (complete all levels) and I loved them!

There is something in the game that makes it feel addicted, I wish I had an addicting idea like that! I kept playing, trying to memmorize the routines and the patterns I had to follow. And I want more levels now! let me know if you do.
Something I didn't like is that the games ticks automatically if you don't move, but there is not much visual feedback of the turn duration. Sometimes I noticed that I was still thinking about where to go and the game ticked another turn and the enemy saw me. Perhaps it's part of the fun, Idk, but generally speaking, I loved the entry!
Also, I noticed that you used LOVE 2D? If so, it's great!
Really nice job! I enjoyed this one very much!
I also liked that you used Love2D :D This Ludum Dare I also tried love2D for the first time, and I must say I enjoyed it a lot :) My code really became a mess though >_<
I will comment more when finished!!! But this has the vibe of *true retro* games - **solid** gameplay, no bullcrap around, just you vs the game. Clear mechanics, direct action. It's awesome! Already one of my favorite entries just after 2 minutes of play!!! : ))
Seriously the logo was a killer, I love it. The whole homage to the most underrated MGS game felt on point. It felt like a loveletter to the GB/GBC era in many ways. Clear graphics and mechanics, no bloat, interesting challenging stages and very responsible controllers. I rather liked it. I could have easily played twice as many stages. Short and sweet.
Great music, with cohesive clear art and sfx.
More importantly, I think you threaded the needle on the difficulty. There was a lot of memorization of moves and special blind squares I had to remember to stand on in certain moments, and there were several times I almost ragequit the game, but the feeling of accomplishment stayed just ahead of the difficulty, and the aesthetics and small levels carried me through the moments where I nearly lost heart.
I ended up playing the whole game, and I thought it was the perfect length. If I could tweak one thing, it would be a slightly-faster restart on death.
Very nicely done.
Good job here.
